An exploration of how humanistic therapists’ own experiences of anxiety inform their perceptions of what is helpful for clients with anxiety

My name is Harriet, I am a humanistic counsellor and MA student at the York St John University. I am researching what humanistic therapists with their own experiences of anxiety can uniquely offer clients with anxiety. If you are passionate about helping clients with anxiety and have insights to share, I’d love to hear from you.

Can you participate?

  • UK-based qualified counsellors and psychotherapists.
  • Work humanistically (e.g. person-centred, gestalt, emotion focused).
  • Need to have received therapy for anxiety.

What is involved?

  • Online or face to face interview (up to 60 minutes)
  • Interviews will be recorded and transcribed.
  • All data will be treated as confidential and will be anonymised.
