A phenomenological exploration of how UK counsellors/psychotherapists, who have had a secular training, understand the spiritual dimension of their work, and bring spirituality into their work with clients

  • Are you a qualified mainstream counsellor/psychotherapist working in the UK?
  • Do you have a minimum of five years post-qualification experience in mainstream counselling or psychotherapy?
  • Are you interested in, and incorporate spirituality, into your work with clients?
  • Do you have a sufficient ability to read and write English to be able to engage with the research?

If you can answer ‘yes’ to all of these questions, then I’d love to hear from you to explore with you how you understand spirituality, how you understand the spiritual dimension of your therapeutic work, and how you integrate spirituality into your work with clients.

This research is part of a Doctor of Professional Studies (DProf) in Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies project at the University of Chester.
