Friend or Therapist: An exploration of how qualified counsellors experience supporting NonSuicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) both inside and outside the therapy room

RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS NEEDED.

I am recruiting participants over 18 years of age to take part in this study. Participants should also meet the following criteria:

  • Participants must be qualified counsellor.
  • Within their role as a counsellor, participants must have experience supporting clients who have self-harmed.
  • Participants must have experience within their personal lives of supporting individuals, such as friends or family, who have self-harmed.
  • Participants must not currently be actively engaging in Nonsuicidal Self-Injury.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
This research will be a semi-structured interview that will last approximately 1 hour.

My name is Zoe.
I am a student at the University of Staffordshire. I am currently in my final year of my MSc Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I am conducting a qualitative research project exploring how qualified counsellors experience supporting NonSuicidal Self-Injury (NSSI) both inside and outside the therapy room.
