The Investments team helps asset owners across the world solve their investment problems. As a Portfolio Manager, you will help drive the success of our investment business by working with the US Head of Delegated Portfolio Management to manage multi-asset OCIO client portfolios and multi-manager asset class solutions. Your role will be to help deliver strong returns for clients consistent with their goals and objectives.
You will be part of a motivated and talented team of investment professionals and will report to the US Head of Delegated Portfolio Management.

Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000 to $250,000 USD per year.
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.

The Role
Client Focus:
- Play an active role as a member of the US Portfolio Management Group (PMG), our US multi-asset investment committee
- Participate in regular reviews of the US multi-asset model portfolios including proactively recommending asset allocation and/or implementation adjustments
- Proactively consider and make suggestions of potential improvements to US PMG’s process and delivery
- Lead projects as agreed by US PMG to research new areas and/or review views of ‘best practice’ portfolio construction in existing asset classes
- Contribute to thought leadership and messaging to internal and external client audiences
- Coordinate and liaise with Global Portfolio Management Group and Client teams to ensure best ideas are being considered across the organization as appropriate.
- Be responsible for the management of multi-asset delegated (OCIO) client portfolios, including defined benefit (DB), defined contribution (DC), not-for-profit (e.g.; E&F) and other institutional asset pools:
- Develop appropriate asset allocation and investment strategy for clients with a variety of objectives
- Proactively manage the clients’ portfolios, make and implement portfolio management decisions based on the clients’ own specific circumstances and:
- evolution of client objectives
- developments and evolution of model portfolios
- strategy, risk management and liability hedging considerations
- dynamic asset allocation views.
- Assist in the ongoing management of multi-manager asset class funds which may also form part of OCIO portfolios
- Play an active role in the research and underwriting of investment strategies / ideas for specific asset classes or funds
- Attend monthly/quarterly internal portfolio review meetings.
- Be a strong advocate and communicator of the firm’s investment philosophy and process, portfolio views and recommendations – both internally and externally with clients.

The Requirements
We welcome candidates with a broad range of experiences and career backgrounds:
- 7+ years of directly relevant experience
- High degree of understanding of investment principles across multiple asset classes and investment management approaches
- Understanding of multi-asset portfolio construction, including solid knowledge of equity, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative asset classes, including hedge funds, real assets, and private markets
- Ability to integrate portfolio construction with consideration of strategic goals and risk management requirements
- Strong understanding of risk, and the benefits and drawbacks of different risk measures
- Proactive desire to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our portfolio management capabilities, to ensure they remain ‘best in class’
- Understanding of practical implementation aspects of day to day portfolio management for institutional asset pools, including DB, DC, and not-for-profit
- Ability to make judgements and decisions in a timely manner in the knowledge that perfect information is not available

- DC familiarity and experience is helpful
- Asset allocation experience with pensions or other asset pools is required
