About me and my therapy practice
Hi I'm Helen and am keen to promote good mental health and well being. I understand each individual has their own experiences and perspectives and I strive to understand that when working with you.
Practice description
I am an experienced counsellor qualified to work with children, young people and adults. I have worked in the field for almost 20 years in schools and in the community with a range of issues. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their professional and ethical guidelines.
My initial training was person centred but I have trained to understand various ways of working. Ultimately I believe you are the core of the therapy and I work as flexibly as I can to meet the needs of each person dependant on their age and what they want to achieve from therapy.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced practitioner working with adults, young people and children. My initial training was person centred but work collaboratively with the client to provide an intervention that suits them.
As a qualified supervisor I offer a similar approach working both face to face and online. I work with qualified counsellors and those in training.
Practice description
My approach is relaxed and welcoming and I aim to provide a safe space to explore aspects of your practice and yourself as a therapist. This includes areas of uncertainty and safeguarding procedures.
Together we can explore all aspects of your practice including areas of uncertainty, safeguarding procedures, maintaining professional standards and a safe ethical practice. Working with your individual needs I aim to support you with your professional development, self-confidence and ethical competence.

If you would like to explore working together, I can offer an initial online/telephone appointment to explore our compatibility and answer any questions you may have.
