About me and my therapy practice

Struggling with your thoughts and feelings doesn’t mean you're weak or failing. But we often judge ourselves like this and get worn down trying to fight them off. I offer online therapy to help you build confidence and self-worth.

I'm a warm and experienced therapist with a background in charities, the NHS, and private practice. For over 10 years now, I’ve had the privilege of helping people from all walks of life to navigate their difficulties, moving beyond what's keeping them stuck to a place of greater wellbeing.

Practice description

I'm calm and empathic and offer you the chance to be fully heard, without judgement. This isn't a passive listening, but an active exploration of your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Here you can safely explore at your own pace.

This can look different from person to person. There's no one-size-fits-all and I will work with you to find a balance, approach and focus which resonates with you.

I also invite you to explore what you're experiencing within your body. This offers a fuller picture than your thoughts and feelings alone, allowing us to work with the whole of you.

As you process your feelings and experiences, you can learn new ways of responding to yourself and the world. You can foster self-compassion, improve your relationships and achieve greater wellbeing, confidence, and personal growth.

For those who want specifics, I work from a person-centred base and integrate other approaches within this, including: experiential and body-based therapies, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.

Specialisms

I have worked successfully with a large range of issues and continue to welcome people with diverse needs and backgrounds. At the same time, I have developed specialisms and areas of interest over the years:

• Depression and low self-worth

• Relationship issues (romantic partner, friendship and family)

• Identity struggles and marginalisation

• Childhood trauma

My first session

Ready to take the first step?

Choosing a therapist amongst a sea of choices can feel daunting, especially when trying to balance a busy life. I offer online therapy to adults of all ages. It's convenient, accessible and research shows it's just as effective as face-to-face.

If you’re ready to take the first step or have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out!

I also offer telephone sessions. For some people, this feels more accessible and practical—especially if anonymity is important or you feel too exposed with the video on. If this sounds like you, then please get in touch and we can discuss how it could work for you.

I offer a free 15-minute introductory conversation so we can meet and explore whether my approach is a good fit for you.

In the first session we will explore what brings you to therapy and what you want from it so we can build an idea of how to move forward.

Sessions through your insurance: I am a registered provider for AXA and AVIVA.
