About me and my therapy practice
I am a Person Centred Counsellor. What this means is that my approach is never going to be a one-size-fits-all approach. As a Counsellor, I am here to walk with you on your journey and to assist you in working through the issues that concern you. While the Person Centred Approach forms the foundation of my work, I have knowledge and experience of a range of other approaches such as the Psychodynamic, Existential and Transactional Analysis approaches.
In particular, over the years, I have worked well with clients experiencing depression, suicidal ideation and low self-esteem but my experience is not limited to these issues. I will work with you, with whatever ails you.
Honed through years of experience in the mental health arena and education, I can build strong alliances with my clients and work with them to find their resolutions. I believe in my clients and, in return, this provides a strong base from which they can work through whatever has brought them to Counselling.
My first session
I offer a free introductory session. These sessions lasts for around 30 mins and is a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and for me to get a better understanding of whatever it is that has brought you to counselling.
