Availability
I don’t give any recommendation for the number, frequency or regularity of sessions, but rather accommodate to the needs of each individual or couple.
For example, some people want to come every week - and this is what we do. Others, however, may wish to come every other week or every few weeks.
Likewise, many people prefer to use my service as an emotional resource and come when they need some extra support. I am happy to offer whatever makes it possible for you.
I work very flexibly because some people work shifts or have commitments that mean they can’t come at the same time every week. I am happy to work around your availability.
I offer appointments at different times throughout the week and, as well as daytime appointments, I have some evening appointments and Saturday morning appointments.
About me and my therapy practice
Specialist counselling for MISCARRIAGE & FERTILITY
Many people experiencing miscarriages or fertility problems have never had counselling before and so this may be the first time you have considered seeking professional support. I hope I may be able to offer you something that can help you at this time.
Although experienced in general therapy, seeing people with a wide range of concerns, I specialise in counselling women, men, couples, single women and lesbian couples who are experiencing difficulties having the family they desire.
I can offer support if you are:
- Undergoing fertility tests, investigations & treatments
- Suffering miscarriage, missed miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or multiple and recurrent miscarriages
- Having donor conception treatment in the UK or outside the UK
- Ending or not even starting fertility treatment
- Considering adoption or deciding not to adopt
- Experiencing secondary infertility where a longed-for second child eludes you
- Facing involuntarily childlessness for whatever reason
- Grieving the loss a baby
- Facing the decision (or having made the decision) to terminate a much wanted pregnancy

Practice description
MISCARRIAGE COUNSELLING
I support women and their partners who have had a miscarriage, a missed miscarriage, recurrent miscarriages or an ectopic pregnancy loss. People’s feelings vary after a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy, so what the loss of your baby means to you will be very personal to you. It can be extremely sad and may also be traumatic and frightening, and for some, the grief is very hard to bear. So, I offer you the opportunity to talk freely and openly about the loss of your longed-for baby or babies, and to mourn that loss in your own way.
I have specialised in miscarriage counselling since 2014 when I helped establish the counselling service for St Michael's Hospital’s Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic in Bristol. This also includes support for those who have experienced ectopic pregnancies or the tragic termination of a pregnancy on medical grounds.
FERTILITY COUNSELLING
I have been practicing as a Specialist Fertility Counsellor since 1996. Whilst working for the first twelve years at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine, a private clinic in Bristol, I gained a wealth of experience in the field of fertility counselling.
Since then, I’ve provided fertility counselling services for the Bristol Fertility Clinic at The Spire, for Bristol for BCRM, a state-of-the-art specialist fertility unit in Aztec West, North Bristol, and for CREATE fertility, a fertility clinic in central Bristol.
