About me and my therapy practice

Life can feel overwhelming when low mood, self-doubt, or constant worries take over. You may struggle to feel good enough, question your self-worth, or are having relationship struggles with those in your life.  Therapy offers a space to explore these feelings with support and understanding.

I am an integrative counsellor providing counselling and psychotherapy, specialising in low mood, self-esteem, self-worth, feelings of sadness, and anxiety. My approach is tailored to each client, offering a warm and supportive space to talk openly, understand emotional patterns, and develop new coping methods. Together, we explore how past experiences may be affecting you now, find practical strategies to manage difficult thoughts and feelings and build self-compassion to create lasting change.

Therapy can bring strong emotions, but it is also an opportunity for deep transformation. My goal is to help you gain clarity, feel more in control, and find balance in your life.

In sessions, I use a mix of psychodynamic and person-centred approaches to build a warm, understanding relationship. I also use parts work, CBT techniques, and mindfulness to help clients manage emotions, develop healthier coping skills, and find balance. Between sessions, I may suggest journaling to support reflection and growth.

Practice description

In our sessions, we start by talking about the problem you are facing, its history, and any triggers. This helps us understand what causes the issue and what keeps it going. We’ll also look at what you’ve tried in the past, what worked, and what didn’t, so we can see your patterns more clearly.

Each session begins with a quick check-in to see how your week has been and if there are any new concerns. Then, we’ll focus on the main topic for the session, whether that’s understanding current challenges, looking at thought patterns, or connecting emotions to past experiences. We’ll work together to identify unhelpful beliefs or habits and come up with new ways to manage them.

We may also use mindfulness techniques to help you stay present and calm. I’ll provide tools to help you regulate your emotions and build resilience. The goal is to help you gain understanding, develop healthier coping skills, and make lasting positive changes.

We focus on your relationship patterns, attachment styles, and how past experiences influence how you relate to others. Together, we’ll work on building confidence, improving communication skills, and creating healthier, more fulfilling connections.

If you’re a parent, we’ll also explore how your childhood experiences may affect your parenting and the relationship with your child. I’ll help you understand your triggers and provide tools for handling difficult situations, building healthier connections with your child, and setting boundaries that work for both of you.

My first session

I offer a free 20-minute phone call so we can get to know each other and see how I can help. In our first session, we will do an assessment and set a clear goal for your therapy. This helps guide our work and keep us focused on what you want to achieve.

At the start, we will track your mood in terms of anxiety and depression. I may also use CORE (Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation), which is a tool that helps track your well-being and progress over time. This shows how your mood and mental health improve during therapy.

Between sessions, I might suggest journaling to help you reflect and stay connected to what we are working on. This can support you to gain more insight into your thoughts and feelings.

You can expect a safe and supportive space and a collaborative approach where we regularly check your progress together and adjust our focus to keep moving towards your goals.

About me and my therapy practice

I work with you to understand how your past experiences, especially those from childhood, are affecting your present life and relationships. By looking at patterns, emotional triggers, and beliefs, we can begin to shift old habits that no longer serve you.

I use an integrative approach, meaning I draw on various techniques, including mindfulness, emotional regulation skills, and somatic practices to help you manage difficult feelings and stress. I also use tools to help you understand your emotions better, set healthier boundaries, and improve communication in relationships.

The goal is to give you practical tools and insights that you can use in your everyday life to feel more in control, grounded, and confident. Together, we will work on creating lasting change at your own pace.

Practice description

When you work with me, you can expect a warm, caring, and non-judgmental space where you are truly heard and understood. I am committed to creating an environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, emotions, and past experiences at your own pace. I believe that healing starts with feeling comfortable and supported, and I strive to offer that in every session.

In our time together, you’ll receive attentive listening and empathy as we work through any challenges you may be facing. Whether you're navigating relationship struggles, self-esteem issues, or past wounds, I’ll be there to guide and support you every step of the way. You’ll gain insights into the patterns and beliefs that may be holding you back, and together, we’ll develop practical tools to help you feel more in control and connected to yourself.

I understand that each person's journey is unique, and I am here to walk with you, offering support and compassion as you move toward healing and growth.

About me and my therapy practice

Sometimes, we go through struggles in life and need someone to talk to, especially when we're dealing with depression, anxiety, or challenges in our relationships. I aim to provide you with a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without judgment.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, I'm here to help you make sense of what you're going through and find practical ways to manage life’s challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

Practice description

I am an integrative therapist and use different therapeutic approaches to suit your needs. I have over 10 years of experience working with single adults, those in a relationship, or parents. I can support you if you are dealing with anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges.

I draw on several therapeutic approaches, including:

Person-Centred Therapy – I provide a non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely. This approach nurtures self-awareness and self-acceptance, which can be powerful if you’ve spent years feeling misunderstood or unheard.

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) – CBT helps identify and challenge negative thought patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, low mood, or self-doubt. Developing healthier ways of thinking can break unhelpful cycles and build positive habits.

Psychodynamic Therapy – This approach explores unconscious patterns from childhood that may be influencing your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours today, offering insight and deeper emotional awareness.

Inner Child Therapy – We explore younger parts of yourself that may carry difficult emotions from childhood. By nurturing these parts, you can rebuild your self-worth and develop healthier relationships.

Mindfulness – This practice helps you manage anxiety and overwhelming emotions by fostering awareness of your thoughts and feelings, enabling you to respond with calmness and clarity.

For parents, I combine these approaches to help you manage emotional triggers, strengthen your bond with your child, and support their emotional regulation. Whether you seek support as an individual or a parent, I provide a compassionate space to explore your challenges and develop the tools to create positive change in your life.

Parenting Training for children aged 3 years old-8 years old :

Are you struggling to manage your child’s routine or create a consistent structure at home?

Do you find it difficult to set boundaries or manage challenging behaviour?

Are you feeling overwhelmed by your child’s emotions and unsure how to help them manage them?

Parenting can be challenging, especially when managing routines, addressing difficult behaviours, and helping your child navigate their emotions. It’s normal to feel uncertain about how to handle these moments, but with the right tools, you can build a calmer, more structured environment for your family.

Through my online personalised training, I provide practical strategies to help you manage your child’s behaviour, set effective routines, and support their emotional regulation. You also have the option to book in-person play sessions with your child to practice these skills together in a supportive setting.

What Happens Next :

As a parenting trainer with experience working alongside parents in schools, I understand the unique challenges that come with raising children, especially when faced with conditions like ADHD, autism, executive functioning issues, and difficulties with routines and emotional regulation. Now, I’m offering personalized parenting training to parents who need direct support at home.

We’ll begin with a thorough assessment that includes a Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire for your child, as well as an exploration of presenting issues, your family’s history, how you're feeling about yourself, and your specific goals.

Once we have a clear understanding of your needs, we’ll work through the 12-week training program together.

Throughout the 12 weeks, you can expect:

A thorough initial assessment to identify your child’s strengths, challenges (e.g., ADHD, autism, executive functioning), and your unique family needs

12 weeks of structured training modules focused on behaviour management, emotional regulation, creating effective routines, and strengthening the family connection

Actionable tools and techniques to immediately apply in your family life

In-person play sessions to practice the skills in a guided, real-world environment

Additional Support:

If it would be helpful, I can provide a letter to your GP or a report for CAMHS assessment based on my observations during our sessions. While I cannot guarantee that this will lead to further support as I am not a psychologist, it can offer additional information that may be useful in seeking further services for your child.

Whether you’re navigating the complexities of ADHD, and autism, or struggling to build consistent routines, this training will empower you with strategies to foster better emotional regulation and a deeper connection with your child.
