About me and my therapy practice

Anyone can experience hard times. For instance, if your life has become overwhelmed by anxiety and "what-if" scenarios, you may find it difficult to focus because you're trapped by overthinking everything. It can be exhausting.

With everything happening, it's easy to become preoccupied with your troubles. You might feel as though everyone except you is doing well, leading to a sense of isolation.

You may feel drained from trying to fix things and even more alone because you haven't found someone you dare trust.

Symptoms You Might Recognize

- Avoiding social situations

- Compulsive people-pleasing

- Becoming quiet around friends

- A sense of powerlessness or feeling small

- Believing you're less important than others

- Feeling sorry for yourself

- Expecting the worst

- Criticizing yourself or others

- Experiencing panic attacks and other physical symptoms

You wish the constant chatter in your mind would stop, making it impossible to find peace.

Breaking Free

But what if you could break free from this cycle of overthinking and find tranquillity once again?

It can help you step back from worrying, avoid getting frustrated, and refrain from blurting out things you might regret.

I have some strategies that could work for you. For example, we can identify your strengths and explore new ways to use them to help you regain control.

Like many who are drawn to become counsellors, I have personal experience with these challenges. I understand how difficult it can be to merely survive in a harsh world.

Don't Just Survive, Thrive

Why settle for just surviving when you deserve to live a fulfilling life?

Wouldn't it feel like heaven to just feel normal again?

Imagine sorting things out for yourself, healing strained relationships, and feeling a sense of belonging.

You don't have to go through this alone. Together, we can take the first step toward healing.

By working together, we can find a way forward for you and help you get back on track.

Practice description

I'm a male counsellor based near Rotherham with plenty of experience in mental health work.

I offer anxiety counselling, anger management and help with low self-esteem.

I know what it's like to be overwhelmed, and I aim to understand you so that you may overcome your problems.

Sharing your troubles with a counsellor might help you see more clearly and feel better. Your confidence could return, and you'll likely find healthy ways of dealing with your conflicting emotions.

Then, you could heal and be yourself again.

I know it can be difficult to ask for help, but the people who have worked with me now enjoy much better lives.

I can't promise that counselling will be quick or painless, but you can get there if you keep going.

A Flexible Approach

I know you may work shifts or have family commitments, so a weekly session at the same time might be out of the question.

To make counselling accessible, I encourage you to choose sessions at intervals and times that suit you.

Additionally, you may mix the types of counselling you have. For example, you may wish to have some sessions online via video, telephone, text or email.

My therapy room is easy to find. It's near Wath upon Dearne town centre and bus station, and there are several free car parks nearby. Wath upon Dearne is also in the middle of Rotherham, Barnsley, and Doncaster, so it's not far to travel if you're in South Yorkshire.

Call me soon or visit my website booking page to make an appointment. Then, you can see how easy I am to talk to and start getting your life back on track.

I believe the truth will set you free, don't you?

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute consultation:

  • As an initial stand-alone chat
  • Or as part of the first hour's session

I will answer any questions about how I work and help you establish your aims in counselling. Also, I will discuss how you think we can work together so you know what to expect.

If I know of another professional I feel is more suitable for the issues you bring to counselling, I may signpost you to them. My remit is to do what is right and fair for you.

I will ask you to complete two simple forms, which are part of the UK's legal and ethical requirements for private practice.

You are not obligated to continue seeing me if you are in the process of finding the right counsellor.

If we're a good fit, your counselling will be effective
