About me and my therapy practice
Soulful Therapy for Turbulent Times
I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate the anxiety and relational challenges that arise in these turbulent times.
If you are struggling with anxiety about the world around you 鈥 feeling overwhelmed by uncertainty, fear, or the weight of global and personal issues 鈥 or if you are facing difficulties in your relationships, I am here to offer a compassionate, soulful approach to healing.
When the world around you feels chaotic, and your inner world mirrors that turbulence, it can be hard to find solid ground.
Anxiety and uncertainty often go hand in hand鈥攑ersistent worry, restlessness, self-doubt, or a sense of emotional exhaustion can make it difficult to feel at peace. It can feel as though you鈥檙e constantly bracing for the next storm, never quite able to relax.
By working together, we will cultivate greater emotional balance, a sense of stability, and the ability to embrace uncertainty with resilience. This journey isn鈥檛 just about coping鈥攊t鈥檚 about transforming how you relate to yourself and the world around you.
Your Worries:
Your future, and what lies ahead
Relationships, and how they鈥檙e changing for you
Your work, responsibilities, expectations in different aspects of your life
Global events, and political uncertainty
The well-being of our planet
A persistent, underlying sense that things aren鈥檛 right
Therapy offers a space where you can meet your anxiety with curiosity and compassion, without the need to make it disappear.
It鈥檚 a place to be seen and heard, to understand the deeper stories behind your feelings, and to find ways to live more peacefully alongside them.
Therapy can help:
- Finding meaning and purpose in uncertainty and anxiety
- Cultivating inner resilience
- Embracing life's transitions
- Establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries
I am committed to providing an inclusive, affirming, and anti-oppressive therapeutic space where all identities, backgrounds, and lived experiences are welcomed and respected.
Practice description
I offer online sessions as well as in person sessions in Brighton. I offer a therapeutic space where you will be able to talk in confidence and have the time to just be with your feelings and thoughts. I come with warmth, empathy and gentle challenge.
A space for your Story
I invite you to bring your whole story 鈥 the parts you鈥檙e proud of and the parts you鈥檝e been taught to hide. The benefit of this work is the freedom to see yourself differently 鈥 to shift out of shame, release that sense of 鈥渟omething must be wrong with me,鈥 and begin to understand yourself with compassion and clarity.
Inclusivity
My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and rooted in an awareness of structural oppressions 鈥 racism, patriarchy, ableism, the class system, capitalism, and the systems that harm both people and the Earth.
My Qualifications
I have over a decade鈥檚 experience working with clients who bring their unique stories, agonies, pains and more often than you think, their joys.
Advanced Diploma in the Application of the Arts in Therapy and Education
Diploma in Integrative Counselling
Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy
We might start to look at your past and how it might be impacting you now. We might begin to notice what is happening in your body, so if you are anxious we can look at ways of bringing your anxiety to more tolerable levels.
Working soulfully is working in a way that includes all of you, mind, body and soul. Soul can look like the things we often overlook, whispers, daydreams, images, night dreams, hunches, whims, the song rattling around your head. It might not make sense but it will often have something deeply meaningful to say.
Perhaps you will need a few sessions to get something off your chest. Perhaps you want to look at how you are in relationships and will need more sessions to fathom that out and see lasting change. However long you want to come, we will be working together, collaboratively, with your best interests in heart and mind.

My first session
What will it be like?
We might start with what brings you to therapy. A loss, a confusion, a hurt of some kind. You might not know what it is really about or why you are feeling not ok. It is ok not to know. Therapy can help you work it out.
We might start to look at your past and how it might be impacting you now. How did your family relate to each other? What were their expectations of each other and how might these ways and beliefs about relationships and the world affect how you are now, as an adult? What stories about you (that you continue to tell yourself), keep you from living the rich life that you yearn for?
And we might begin to notice what is happening in your body at different times, so that if you are anxious we can look at ways of bringing your anxiety to more tolerable levels.
We will bring some soul into our sessions. Soul expresses itself in different ways, in ways that don鈥檛 necessarily make sense, but if we pay attention may have something profound to say to us. Soul comes through in hunches, whims, images, day dreams, night dreams, yearnings, that song that's rattling around our head. We take notice of all that you bring.
Next Steps
We can arrange a time for an initial session either online or in person in Brighton. An initial session is a paid for 50-minute session. You will get a sense of what therapy with me is like. If you wish to proceed, we can meet weekly at the same time in a slot reserved for you.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions, large or small.
If you would like to know more about my approach before you book a session, I offer a fifteen minute Zoom or phone call, for free, at a mutually arranged time.

About me and my therapy practice
Soulful Therapy for Turbulent Times
Sometimes turbulence is quiet 鈥 a low ache beneath your days, the question Is this it? The gap between the life you鈥檙e living and the life you imagined.
Other times, it鈥檚 louder 鈥 a relationship ending, the world shifting, the familiar falling away. A discomfort you can鈥檛 outrun.
Maybe you feel stuck, circling the same questions. Or carrying a hum of anxiety 鈥 shaped by an uncertain future, the state of the world, or the strain in your closest relationships.
Soulful therapy isn鈥檛 about fixing you. It鈥檚 about reconnecting you to your inner wisdom and creating space for a new way of being.
Is This It?
Life hasn鈥檛 unfolded the way you thought it might. Maybe you鈥檙e approaching a milestone birthday or standing at the threshold of a new life phase, wondering how you ended up here. You might have imagined a clearer path 鈥 a thriving career, a loving partnership, perhaps a family 鈥 or at least a sense of belonging. Instead, you鈥檙e left with questions, disappointment, and even grief for the life you didn鈥檛 live.
There鈥檚 a longing for something more, even if you鈥檙e not quite sure what it is.
Maybe you:
鈥 Want children, but face unexpected challenges.
鈥 Feel stuck in a career that no longer feels like yours.
鈥 Are in a relationship/s that lacks the depth or nourishment your heart craves.
鈥 Carry a lingering sense of disconnection from the riches of life.
鈥 Are navigating the complexities of a blended family, where reality feels so far from the vision you once held.
鈥 Are wrestling with the weight of others' expectations and your own.
These experiences carry grief, anger, longing, and confusion. Therapy offers a space to lay these feelings down, and listen deeply to what they鈥檙e trying to tell you.
Therapy gives you a space to say the unsayable 鈥 the grief, the anger, the regret 鈥 so it stops running the show from the shadows.
You don鈥檛 have to stay stuck. Change begins with understanding. And understanding begins when you鈥檙e ready to be truly heard
