About me and my therapy practice

I believe we all have the ability to become more of who we are, to thrive, live our fullest lives and realise our deepest hopes and dreams - and the therapeutic relationship can be a powerful ally for anyone seeking to make this journey.

More often than not that journey begins with how you’re feeling now. The starting point is often anxiety, overwhelm, frustration, depression, feeling stuck, bored, numb or a yearning for something that’s missing. It may be a specific event or circumstance that has brought you to this point or it may be a longstanding pattern that just won’t budge. Either way adversity can be hugely challenging, it’s often where you bump up against yourself and patterns of behaviour that a long time ago may have worked just fine, but now seem ineffectual or even make the situation worse.

Therapy provides a unique environment to explore what’s going on and if needed find a different way. It’s a relationship, a place and a space where you can hear your own voice, label and grow awareness of the layers in your experience, experiment with new behaviours, grow new skills, self-esteem, resilience and confidence and ultimately learn to flourish.

How I Work

I work both cognitively and somatically, to help clients gain an insight and understanding of how they maintain unwanted patterns and behaviours, and how to go about changing them.

When working with you I see you as an individual with your own unique set of experiences and life history. It may be that you are feeling anxious or depressed or that you are struggling with low self-esteem, or that you have a difficult relationship or specific issue that you want to work on.

Whatever your challenges are, I provide a nurturing judgement-free environment for you to talk them through and to feel supported in finding new ways of managing, responding and relating to yourself and others.
