About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I'm Cora. I offer modern, down-to-earth therapy for Millennials, Gen. Z, and the LGBTQ+ community.
I'm experienced in helping people address stress, anxiety and depression; burnout and perfectionism; relationships, communication and boundaries; family challenges; low self-esteem and self-criticism; identity, life direction and meaning; bereavement, failure and loss; and gender, sexuality and relationship diversity (GSRD).
I also often work with people who can't quite put a finger on what brings them to therapy, but they know something needs to change - perhaps they want to feel less stuck, or more comfortable within themselves, or as if their life fits them better. Sometimes nothing in particular is 'wrong', but we know things could feel more 'right'.
Practice description
How I work
Whatever brings you to therapy, I work with you to help you make the changes you want for yourself. At your pace, we explore your past, present and future, always keeping your goals for therapy at the forefront of our focus. Together, we look to develop more clarity, awareness and understanding, so that you can find the right way forward for you.
I’m an Integrative therapist, so I use ideas from lots of places in my work - including from beyond the world of therapy theory. I see therapy as a place to find fresh insight and different perspectives, as new ideas open up new possible ways forward for us. This can come from all sorts of places, and while my work is heavily influenced by a background in philosophy, languages and literature, I’m also very interested in what we can learn from pop culture and the everyday world around us. There is always space in my therapy room to talk about the new thing you read, watched, played or listened to that really spoke to you - even truly terrible reality TV can sometimes provide a window into ourselves, in the most surprising ways.
A little extra
I'm an Accredited member of the Â鶹Դ´, and have been in private practice since 2018. Prior to private practice, I saw clients at agencies providing therapy for loss, and for stress, depression and anxiety.
My client base focuses on people from the Gen Y, Gen Z and/or LGBTQ+ communities. I have particular experience of working with people in creative, tech and legal careers, and an interest in working with people with a background in competitive sport.
I also run a blog, in which I write about pop culture from a therapist's perspective (spoiler alert: I'm the therapist). You can find the blog on my website.
Fee information
My fees are on a sliding scale between £65 and £85 per 50-minute session. You choose your own rate within this scale.
I offer a reduced fee of £60 for an initial appointment.
I also offer low-cost appointments, so you're welcome to ask me about these.
My first session
If you'd like to get in touch with me, the best way to do so is via email. I will aim to respond to you by the end of the next working day. I respond to every email I receive, so please check your spam folder if you're waiting to hear from me.
When getting in touch, there is nothing particular that you need to tell me about you - you can say whatever you feel comfortable saying. It would be helpful if you could let me know what your availability for sessions with me would be, so that I can see whether I am able to offer you an initial session at a suitable time and date.
An initial session is a chance for us to speak a little about what's going on for you at the moment; to explore any questions you have about therapy; and to get a gauge on whether we might be a good fit with what you're looking for. I offer a reduced fee of £60 for this appointment.
My practice is exclusively online, so all my sessions take place on Zoom.
