About me and my therapy practice
Finding the right therapist for you is important as the relationship between us will form the foundation of any work we do together. I am a person centred counsellor and psychotherapist working from an embodied approach; offering a caring, non-judgemental and confidential service. I believe that you are the expert in your own life and will do my best to ensure you feel heard and supported as you explore whatever is troubling you and find your own way forward. You will always be at the centre of the work that we do together.
I have worked in the field of gender based violence for the past 30+ years; working with survivors of rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, domestic abuse and every experience of the continuum. I have also worked with people who experience issues linked to these experiences or other traumas that they have survived.
I aim to create a safe enough space for us to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences and together we can help you gain a better understanding and new perspectives for positive changes to occur.
I embrace diversity and welcome enquiries from all sections of society including those who experience themselves as a minority.
I offer both face to face and online sessions, or a combination of both to suit your schedule. I offer 1-hour sessions, usually weekly or fortnightly whichever suits you best. I work from a calm, bright, spacious room based in The Wellbeing Rooms, Stepps, Glasgow which offers free parking and 24-hour security entry. It is very easy to access by road and public transport.
I am PVG registered and work with anyone aged 5+.
Email or text me and I usually respond within 24 hours.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Practice description
I work from a person centred and somatic approach which allows us to explore how trauma is carried in the body, and manifests in behaviours. Welcoming all of you, and through gentle, compassionate presence I will work alongside you to help you achieve a more grounded, embodied existence and make the changes you wish for.
I see therapy as a collaborative process so developing a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. As your therapist, my role is not to provide you with the answers, but instead to provide a safe enough, non-judgmental environment for self-exploration. With the increased awareness developed through our work together, comes the opportunity for more choice and the possibility for change and personal growth.
My first session
Our first session gives us a chance to settle in to the therapeutic environment together. This might be your first experience of speaking to someone completely independent, and I want you to be able to feel comfortable and understand fully how therapy can help you. We will take our time to arrive together and I welcome all emotions you are sitting with.

About me and my therapy practice
I believe that finding the right therapist for you is important as the relationship between you us will form the foundation of any work done together. I am a person centred counsellor and psychotherapist working from an embodied approach; bringing the body and mind together, offering a caring, non-judgemental and confidential service. As a trauma informed and trauma aware therapist, I will invite you to become aware of how we store trauma in our bodies and how we can learn to drop into our bodies for information, which can allow us to create space to become who we are supposed to be at our core.
I work from the understanding that you are the expert in your own life and I will do my best to ensure you feel truly seen, heard and supported as you explore whatever is troubling you and find your own way forward. You will always be at the centre of the work we both do together. I aim to create a safe enough space to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences and together help you gain a better understanding and new perspectives for positive changes to occur.
I have worked in the field of gender based violence for the past 30+ years; working with survivors of rape, sexual assault, sexual abuse, domestic abuse and every experience of the continuum.
As well as working on the issues surrounding abuse, I have experience of working within a Mental Health Organisation providing counselling for a wide range of issues and problems that can affect our lives.
I embrace diversity and welcomes enquiries from all sections of society including those who experience themselves as a minority. I offer 1-hour sessions, either weekly or fortnightly, at the same time and place.
