About me and my therapy practice
Hello! I'm Paul (He/They). As a queer person and part of the LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities, I have experience working with people of different genders, relationship styles and sexualities and strive for an inclusive practice. I am trans and nonbinary affirmative, anti-fascist, anti-racist and feminist. I work towards an anti-oppressive practice and educate myself around intersectionality.
Practice description
I aim to create a calm, containing space in which to talk, using my training in mindfulness.
You might be experiencing anxiety, depression, overwhelm or feel stuck in cyclical thinking. It could be that you feel trapped, lost, alone or directionless. Perhaps you are unable to make decisions or identify your needs. It could be that you are out of touch with your body or mind. You may feel it's time to reconnect with yourself or rewrite old stories.
We're living through a strange and uncertain time. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning to it, know that I am available to support you and that change is possible. Get in touch by email and we can begin working with where you are right now, building strategies for coping, creating change and living with more ease.
My fees are £55 - £70 per regular session. I leave it to you to decide how much you can comfortably and sustainably pay on that scale.
Qualifications:
Certificate: British School of Meditation / Meditation Teacher / 2022
Training: PgDIP Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling / 2019
Degree: University of Chichester / MA Contemporary Dance / 2010
My first session
I can meet with you for a short phone or video call (up to 15 minutes) with no charge initially or we can meet for a full session at my usual fee to see if I am the right counsellor for you.
The first session is for us to get to know each other and for me to find out what you need from me and from counselling.
