Practice description
My collaborative, bespoke treatment planning and specialist training gets results. Many clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.
I use a targeted approach to set appropriate goals for your therapy, and importantly this helps to signal when the therapy is over. This saves you time and money, as well as helping you feel better faster.
Together, we can look at the recurring patterns in your life and find a way forward.
I can offer you a safe, confidential and non- judgemental space where you can achieve lasting personal change.
I always aim to deliver care with warmth, understanding and empathy. I start with a thorough clinical assessment, after which I collaborate with clients to formalate a bespoke treatment plan including practical management techniques.
I work flexibly and creatively to help you find ways to manage and overcome difficulties with a variety of approaches.
My first session
Before we agree to work together, we shall have an introductory session which is chargeable. This is a time for you to ask questions and for us to get a sense of one another and how we might work together. If we do not agree to work together, I will aim to refer you on to someone more suitable. At this meeting we will look at scheduling future appointments if you wish. You will not be pressurised to make any decisions at this meeting.
New clients are asked to complete an intake questionnaire which will be emailed to you after our introductory session and should be filled in before our next session.
Next session:
If we do decide to work together, we can agree an initial working period and what our aims might be. I will complete an assessment at this point. At the end of the initial working period (usually 6 weeks), we can then agree to book a further block of sessions or discuss alternative options.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced supervisor offering both clinical supervision and academic mentoring. I am empathetic, approachable, and open-minded. I have worked with many trainees, newly-qualified and experienced counsellors and therapists based in schools, colleges and private practice.
I have supported supervisees from their first client sessions to qualification, setting up their own private practice and beyond. I am a UKCP and 麻豆原创 accredited psychotherapist with more than 20 years of experience working with young people, couples, and adults.
Here鈥檚 what some recent supervisees, have said about my sessions:
鈥淭he non-judgemental, constructive feedback I receive from you reinforces my confidence, helping me to internalise the compassionate approach I strive to offer my clients. I find a secure space for reflection and development, a space I am inspired to recreate for my clients, enabling them to grow.鈥
鈥淭hank you for your insightful guidance. I really appreciate all the work that I've done with you so far in supervision. I find it really beneficial.鈥
As a supervisor, I provide what Page and Wosket called the Space (in their Cyclical Model). 鈥淭his is the heart of the supervision process, the part of supervision in which reflection, exploration, recognition, insight and understanding can all occur.鈥 (1994:103).
Practice description
I trained as an Integrative Supervisor at CPPD in 2022, and I appreciate the myriad theoretical ways one can work with and help clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. My style is less approach-specific, though I have MSc level training in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and have additional training in CBT and a thorough knowledge of Person-Centred modalities.
My focus is relational. In addition to considering the client鈥檚 own process, I encourage exploration of relational dynamics (both in the therapy and regarding any parallel process in supervision) and whatever may be arising at a personal level which impacts on the therapy. However, my starting point is to consider your own model of working and I invite you to bring issues or cases to explore. I appreciate the fact that supervision can sometimes feel quite shaming, and I would encourage you to be open also to celebrating your successes.
