About me and my therapy practice

With warmth and empathy, I provide a safe environment for you to explore, heal and thrive. My therapeutic approach centres around the belief that individuals inherently possess the capacity for self-awareness and positive growth. I believe in a collaborative process, where we work together to explore your strengths, challenges and goals.

In Lammas Park I offer Walk and Talk Therapy. Instead of sitting in a room, we will be walking alongside. You will determine the pace, decide if you would like to sit down for a while or engage with your surroundings. Walk and talk therapy combines therapy and exercise with the benefit of being in nature. I also am a certified Forest Therapy Practitioner. The NHS recommends walking for your mental and physical health.

I can see you in a room just opposite Ealing Broadway Station or online from anywhere the UK.

Practice description

Creating a judgement-free environment is essential to me, supporting you to express yourself openly and authentically.

I will be:

  • supporting you to build self-esteem and self-compassion;
  • helping you to recognise your strengths and potential;
  • facilitating healing and empowerment working through past traumas;
  • assisting you to navigate transitions such as menopause, aging, career shifts, while addressing the emotional challenges associated with these life changes.

Though my focus lies in counselling women, I welcome people with other gender identities who think I might be the right counsellor for them.

Whether you are navigating personal growth, coping with stress, experiencing anxiety or depression, facing micro-aggressions or bullying, I am here to accompany you on your journey. My goal is to help you to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, enhance trust in yourself, to support you in finding your options for change and foster a sense of empowerment.

Experience

I am seeing clients since 2017 and have experience in working with people from all walks of life. From 2018 to 2021 I worked with an organisation that specialises in counselling domestic abuse survivors.

I regularly engage in professional development activities to stay informed, enhance my skills and ensure that I provide the most effective and compassionate work.

Qualifications

BA (Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling. (Middlesex University, London)

Forest Therapy Practitioner certified by Light Box Project CIC

Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling Metanoia Institute London, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´)

Certificate in Systemic Coaching BR-Systemberatung by the quality standards of the European Coaching Association (ECA).

My first session

I became therapist because of my own experience of having therapy. Being listened to without judgement, being believed and accepted, was transformative. I learned to ask for help, that with understanding and self-compassion I not only changed myself but my surroundings and relationships as well. I also learned that finding the right therapist is very important.

You might ask yourself how you would know if I am the right therapist for you. An initial telephone conversation gives you the opportunity to experience my way of working and if you think you will be comfortable with me. For me it is an opportunity to assess if I feel well placed to work with the issues you are bringing. After we started our work together, we will have regular reviews of our therapy relationship in which you can explore if you are getting what you need from our sessions. The first review will be in our sixth session

About me and my therapy practice

The most important factor for a successful therapy is the relationship and collaboration between counsellor and client. I’m going to help you by co-creating the therapy relationship with you. My job is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, empathetic space in which you are valued as the person you are. The therapeutic relationship is built with trust, which means that I am transparent about my own process, if necessary. My aim is empowerment, to help you to identify your potential and options. Therapy gives you a place to tell your story, to uncover your strengths and find your voice.

I specialise in supporting women who struggle with anxiety, imposter syndrome, and low self-esteem, and have experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.

While my specialisation is counselling women, I warmly welcome individuals of all gender identities who feel I may be the right counsellor for them.

Let me support your process of self-discovery that fosters self-compassion, empowers you to make conscious choices and enact meaningful changes in your life. Email me at hannabohrisch@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like to schedule an initial conversation.

I work face to face in Ealing W5. I also offer Walk and Talk therapy and am a certified Forest Therapy Practitioner. You can also work with me online from anywhere in the UK and Europe.

Practice description

In our sessions we will genuinely connect and you will be the expert. My job is to understand you, to follow you into your world with empathy and postive regard for your experience.

As a person-centred counsellor, I practice a hopeful and empowering approach where the client takes the lead in the counselling journey. Your agenda guides our sessions, allowing you to address the issues that matter most to you.

I believe that people inherently possess the capacity for self-awareness and positive growth. We work together to explore your strengths, challenges and goals. I support you in finding your own solutions.

Whether you are navigating personal growth, coping with stress, experiencing anxiety or depression, facing micro-aggressions or bullying, I am here to accompany you on your journey.
