About me and my therapy practice
I am a person-centred counsellor, I work with a different range of topics.
I believe in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel understood and empowered to explore the underlying factors of what is going on for you.
My role involves helping people understand and manage the challenges that come with neurodiversity, such as difficulties with focus, impulsivity, and time management. Helping people come to terms with changes within life, grief and assault or domestic violence.
Practice description
I am a person-centred counsellor with a deep commitment to supporting both adults and children through life's challenges. My approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences at their own pace. I believe that everyone has the potential for growth and healing, and my goal is to help clients uncover their own strengths, build resilience, and find a path forward.
I have worked with clients from Macmillan, helping them to come to terms with their recent diagnosis, helping them to process their news and how life will be now. I have worked with people from the LGBTQIA+ community, people who are neuro diverse, I have experience working with survivors of sexual abuse and have volunteered with Rape Crisis.
Counselling is about bringing everything about you to sessions, whether that is needing to sit and cry or needing to let your anger out within a safe space. Having a time and place to explore and feel these emotions can help you to grow, by being seen, heard, and accepted for who you are.
My first session
When you reach out to me I will book you in for a free assessment which lasts up to 20 minutes long.
Sessions can change each week as needed.
Sessions last 50 minutes and are done either by phone call, WhatsApp or Teams.
