About me and my therapy practice
As a Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT) and EMDR practitioner, I provide a tailored, integrative approach to therapy that helps you understand and change patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. Through CAT, we explore how past experiences shape your current relationships and difficulties, identifying patterns that may be holding you back. With EMDR, I offer a powerful technique to process trauma and emotional distress by targeting painful memories, helping you release their emotional hold.
Together, we will work collaboratively, focusing on your individual needs to foster self-awareness, healing, and lasting change. My aim is to create a safe, compassionate space where you feel supported on your path to emotional well-being.
I also have completed post-graduate training in Low intensity CBT.
I have over 15 years experience working in the NHS.
Practice description
I offer both face-to-face therapy in Cardiff and online sessions, providing flexible options to suit your needs. Whether you’re seeking short-term therapy to address a specific issue or prefer longer-term support for deeper exploration and sustained change, I tailor our work together to your personal goals.
My approach is adaptable, ensuring that whether we meet in person or online, you receive the same level of care and attention in a comfortable, confidential setting.
My first session
I offer a free 15 minute taster session. This is an opportunity for us to meet online to discuss what you would like help for and for us to decide if we would like to work together.
After this, we can then arrange our first session, either face to face in Cardiff or online. Sessions are 50 minutes long. At this session, I will explore with you in more detail your current difficulties and your childhood experience as well as agree specific goals we can work towards in therapy.
