Hello and welcome,
I'm Laura, a Â鶹Դ´ registered counsellor, psychotherapist, and supervisor.
I offer Person-Centred Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, and supervision.
I welcome anyone looking for short or long-term sessions, whether you are arriving with a specific situation you’d like to talk through or are looking to better understand yourself or your identity.
We will work together in a structured way for as long as you need, with regular check-ins to keep us on the right path.
Sometimes, my replies may inadvertently go to your junk or spam folder. If you don't hear from me within 48 hours of reaching out, please check those folders to see if my reply is there!
About me and my therapy practice
There are many reasons people search for counselling. Perhaps you have a sense of unease that you can’t ignore. Maybe you are feeling the weight of an old wound or looking to find your way through a fresh one.
Whether you're seeking support through a tough time or embarking on a journey of self-discovery, choosing to explore what’s showing up in your life takes great courage.
How I work
I hold closely that you are the expert in your life. I appreciate what makes each person unique and will work with you to take the approach which is most beneficial for you.
Counselling is a creative process, and the therapy experience differs for everyone. It can be a relief to share long-buried feelings or helpful to have a space to talk that is free of judgement. I work intuitively, offering time for reflection with warmth, honesty and authenticity.
Sessions will involve talking, becoming aware of the present moment, noticing the habitual parts of your experience, and being curious about feelings, thoughts, dreams, imagery, metaphors, and movement.
My practice is built on inclusivity and openness and is welcoming to people of all races, bodies, genders, sexualities, relationship constellations, abilities, and beliefs. I embrace a holistic and non-pathologising approach. I work in a way that is LGBTQIA+ affirmative, humanistic, grounded in feminist values, and shaped by queer theory.
I am mindful of how trauma can be stored in the body and take a holistic approach. Considering both the body and the mind can be helpful for those whose bodies are a place of anxiety. The body may be the vessel of suffering, but it is also our greatest ally in healing.
Ideas from neuroscience, neurolinguistics, existential philosophy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, somatic experiencing, and Jungian concepts (like how we experience our dreams) also weave into my practice. I am deeply fascinated by philosophy, archetypes, mythology, mysticism, spirituality and our connections to land and place.
Practice description
My path to becoming a therapist started in Bristol, where I studied for a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and gained an understanding of theory, research, and the application of psychological science. Several years later, I completed a Master's in Counselling and Psychotherapy at Keele University, focusing on theory and therapeutic skills, and I graduated with distinction.
Drawing from more than 2500 hours of client work, I have experience working with people navigating anxiety, panic attacks, depression, burnout, loneliness, trauma, loss, grief or bereavement, major life transitions, relationship difficulties, low self-confidence, ADHD or Autism, chronic illness, queer experiences, and spirituality.
As a member of the Â鶹Դ´, I participate in regular supervision, take part in continued training, and work within their ethical framework. I am registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and have practice insurance.

Practice description
I offer a supervision space to thoughtfully explore the experiences and dynamics that emerge within your counselling practice.
I see supervision as an expansive experience that encourages collaboration, support, and growth —a place where you can process, reflect, and gain clarity, feel seen and heard, consider your work, and ensure ethical practices.
The relationship between supervisor and supervisee is individual and ever-evolving. Sessions are shaped by what you bring and the challenges or insights you're experiencing in your practice.
I draw from a variety of approaches (including person-centred and IFS), weaving together my experience to offer holistic (recognises the influence of the body, culture, identity, and environment on personal experiences) and inclusive (respectful of diversity) supervision.
Supervision typically encompasses three key elements: it is formative, supporting growth and development; normative, ensuring adherence to standards and ethical practices; and restorative, providing support and renewal.
I offer supervision that is informed by frameworks like the Seven-Eyed Model and the Integrative Developmental Model.
If anything here resonates with you, it would be lovely to hear from you.

If you would like to know more, I offer a free initial call (about 30 minutes) where we can explore if working together is a good fit for you.
