About me and my therapy practice
Hi I'm Siobhan,
I wonder if you have noticed that there is a pattern happening for you within relationships? Maybe it is around the type of partner you choose or maybe there is a pattern of conflict happening within your relationship? I can help you understand what is happening for you and explore what is holding you back from having the healthy relationship you want and deserve.
I am a caring and compassionate therapist who is a fully qualified practitioner with several years' experience working online and face to face. I offer Adult Relationship Counselling and I am also trained in Pregnancy Crisis and Pregnancy Loss. I have worked for Relate for several years and also volunteer for the Pregnancy Choices Network to support those who are experiencing a pregnancy crisis or pregnancy loss.
Conflict is like a dance, you hear the music playing and then both partners follow specific steps. I help you understand your dance, learn when you hear that music starting to play and what steps you take. Let's understand your dance and make a new one together.
I have worked with hundreds of couples and individuals of all life stages and backgrounds, and I find it a great privilege to be able to support people during their difficult times. Whether you are single or married we can work together to help you achieve the happy and healthy relationships you want and deserve.
Practice description
Sometimes in life we need to take the time to focus on ourselves and our relationships. I will work with you in a compassionate, empathetic and non-judgmental environment so I can understand and hear your experience. I have been trained in Psychodynamic and Systemic theory. This involves looking at your childhood and if there are any patterns you notice happening in adulthood from childhood along with applying attachment theory.
Examples of issues I have worked with include:
Communication
Repeating Patterns

Separation
Sex and intimacy
Pregnancy loss and crisis

About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes in life we need to take some time to focus on our relationships. A lot of couples can sometimes feel stuck in a repeating pattern within their relationship, and that can feel like a really difficult place to be. Let’s work together to help you move forward in your situation so you can have the happy and healthy relationships you want and deserve.Practice description
I work using theories such as attachment theory and transactional analysis. I want to understand you and the system you are in and how you would like things to change.
I am also trained in pregnancy loss counselling and work with people to move on from the grief of losing a pregnancy whether it be a miscarriage, still birth or an abortion.
My focus is always on you, ensuring you develop the tools you need to help you most.
My first session
In your first session with me there are some questions I need to ask and then I want to understand what has led you to reach out to me. I then like to do 2 individual sessions so I can hear from each member of the couple (if you are seeing me as a couple) and then we move forward together. It is important to me that I understand each persons perspective accurately and we create shared goals together.
