About me and my therapy practice

I am a trained counsellor and therapeutic coach. I work with adults and young people aged 16+, online and in person. I have specialist experience working with individuals aged 16-25 and with neurodivergent clients, particularly ASD and ADHD.

I hold a postgraduate diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching, and am registered as a therapist with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´).

I also worked as a mental health nurse for almost 20 years before I qualified as a counsellor, helping people from all walks of life who had been through all sorts of experiences and difficulties.

Practice description

Feeling a bit lost or overwhelmed lately? Perhaps you feel worried or afraid? Or maybe you feel tired, stressed, or just not good enough? Experiencing these emotions is common, but you don't have to face them alone. That's where I come in. I understand - I’ve been in that dark and confusing place before, too. I know how challenging it can be to untangle your thoughts and feelings, and to make sense of it all. But there's a way forward.

Imagine a space where you can openly express your worries, fears, and uncertainties without fear of judgement. A space where we can explore how you got to where you are now, how you can discover and accept your unique self, and work towards finding solutions that make a difference in your life. That’s what I want to offer you.

As an integrative counsellor, I can blend various counselling approaches and techniques to best suit your individual needs. Whatever you’re going through, I'm here to walk with you and support you every step of the way. I also offer coaching, so when you are ready to move on from working on the difficulties you are bringing from your past and present, I can help you create a roadmap for a future you really want.

If this sounds right for you, please contact me to book a session, or to arrange a free introductory call to think about how we might work together

My first session

In your first session, we will focus on building an overall picture of what is bringing you to therapy, so I can get to know you and understand your needs. I may ask some questions about your past and present circumstances and challenges, as well as beginning to think about what you might like to gain from our sessions. I understand this in itself may be challenging, so we will go at a pace that feels right and comfortable for you. After that we can discuss when and how often we will meet, and how frequently we might review how sessions are going, to ensure we are working in a way that still feels right for you.

What I can help with

Abuse, ADD / ADHD, Anxiety, Autism spectrum, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Identity issues, Life coaching, Mood disorder, Neurodiversity, Personal development, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Sexual identity, Sexuality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
