Practice description

I specialise in trauma and the mind body connection. This means that I work with people who are experiencing anything from symptoms such as anxiety, through to those struggling with relationships and the fallout from traumatic experiences. Periods of transition, such as career change, life crisis, relationship breakdown, marriage and parenthood can feel unsettling. My practice integrates a framework that draws on trauma-informed theory that’s grounded in mind and body processes to help you integrate your experiences, and make empowered choices.

I offer medium term therapy because this frame creates a safe container for therapy to unfold. After this, clients will have gained enough insight to choose whether they have what they need, or to seek out a longer term process.

What I can help with

Abuse, Addictions, Anxiety, Bereavement, Depression, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Loss, Mood disorder, Obsessions, OCD, Post-traumatic stress, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues

Types of therapy

Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Relational, Transactional analysis

My first session

If you’re unsure about talking therapy and whether it would be helpful for you, I’m happy to provide a free, pre-arranged, 20-minute no obligation phone consultation to help you decide. I believe it’s really important to find the right therapist for you.

This is an opportunity for you to get a feel for how we would be able to work together, and to ask any questions you may have about counselling or my approach. It’s also an opening for me to understand what has brought you to counselling at this point in your life and what you would like to get out of therapy. Then if you wish to work with me, we will schedule our first session.
