About me and my therapy practice
We all know life is filled with both highs and lows. I believe when we are struggling for whatever reason, and maybe feeling lost or overwhelmed, taking some time to process our thoughts, feelings and emotions can be incredibly beneficial. Unresolved issues can lead to tension, feelings of overwhelm and exhaustion. I offer a safe space, for us to work together to explore you personal situation and find a way forward that feels right for you.
I use an integrated therapeutic approach to the work we do together, which just means that I can tailor the work we together to best meets your needs.
I offer 50 minute sessions for both short term counselling (6-12 session) but also long term and ongoing counselling depending on your needs and what best supports you and your situation.
Practice description
We all have a unique history that often shapes us as a person and therefore our lives. All of our life is about change and transition. Transitioning from one stage to another, childhood, adolescence, adulthood to middle age and to old age. All of these inevitable transitions bring their own changes and challenges at different times, for example around marriage/relationships, friendships, pregnancy/parenting, career change/loss, bereavement, illness to name a few.
Sharing your thoughts and feelings about whatever is going on for you now or things that have happened in the past, can allow you to feel like you have some space to breathe, instead of it all feeling like it is stuck inside you. Exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences could lead to new insights, perspectives and understanding, allowing you to move forward in a more positive way.
I know that feeling alone with your thoughts and feelings can feel isolating, and discussing them with people close to you isn't always easy for a variety of reasons. I'm here to listen with compassion and without judgement and to provide you with support and understanding. Together, we'll navigate through whatever has brought you to counselling.
My first session
I know choosing a therapist can be daunting, but please be assured, you will be met with kindness and understanding. Your well-being is my primary focus, and I'm committed to inclusivity, welcoming clients from all backgrounds.
Finding a counsellor who resonates with you is vital. That's why I offer a free 20-minute initial consultation to explore if we are a good fit. If you choose to continue following the initial session, we can find a mutually convenient time to work together.
