About me and my therapy practice
What brought me into counselling? Because I am human and at times life has been difficult to navigate. I just needed that one person to listen and help me explore. I now understand why I am the way I am, and for the first time I can look in the mirror and smile. I can help you reach this point if you are struggling to work it all out too.
How I work, is in collaboration with you; we have a look at your concerns and explore together in a safe and confidential space.
I offer both short-term and long-term therapy to adolescents and adults (12 years and over) who would like to increase their self-awareness and wellbeing to create the changes that they are seeking.
Practice description
If you look closely, you can see that your life is made up of cycles of little deaths and rebirths; a never-ending sea of change within your control, as well as out of your control. At times you embrace the change and allow life to evolve, but other times the change is too much. In these times the mind and body holds onto the pain, the fear, the anger, the hurt and the loss, burying it into the dark recesses of the mind; in which overtime creates emotional pain.Emotional Pain issues:
Negative thoughts, Repetitive behaviours, Creative blocks, Life blocks, Failed relationships, Trauma, Lack of inspiration, Lack of Vitality, Depression, Illness
Counselling has the potential to work on the following:
- To reconstruct a personal life event to find new meaning; to reshape a memory that has been broken
- To be able to rewrite a life event to take back control
- To consciously say goodbye
- To consciously grieve to reconnect
- To release the resistance / blocks to fully embody life
- To regain the grip on life that can help build self-esteem, enabling you to work with your personal values and ethics
My first session
First step:
We can have a brief chat on the phone, or through email to find out what you are looking for. At this stage we can arrange a pre-session meet up (free of charge) either face to face, or online so that we can see if we are the right fit for each other.
Next step:
Before our first appointment, I will send out to you a counselling contract as well as a screening form for you to fill in. Both these forms we will go through together in the first session.
In this session, we will then look at contracting a number of sessions together, same day and time each week.
(Please note we contract a number of sessions together but this is only a guide; this can be expanded or finished as and when you or myself feel that the therapeutic relationship can end).

About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors. I am an interactive, creative Counsellor and Supervisor with a love for the Eastern philosophies and the transpersonal aspects of being human.
Microsoft Teams online and Face to face supervision available.
Practice description
I offer integrative/humanistic supervision for individuals and groups, and work with qualified and trainee Counsellors. It is a supportive space for you to discuss your clients, look at any concerns and explore your practice as a counsellor. I like to work within and around the Seven Eyed Supervision model, which enables us to explore and be inquisitive around all angles within relationships.
My first session
This first session is the most important as it provides a space to get to know each other, exploring our ways of working so that we can find out if we are the right fit. We will find out at this stage what you looking for, how you work with your clients and what your needs are in a relationship.
After this session there will be regular reviews around our work together to make sure that your professional needs are being met. The aim within this relationship is to make sure your clients are safe and they are getting their own needs met through you.
My aim is to always keep the conversation open and transparent so that we can meet any obstacles along the way with congruence and integrity. This also keeps it safe so that when the relationship has met a natural end, there is a safe space to openly say goodbye.
