About me and my therapy practice

My area of expertise is physical and mental chronic long-term health conditions, including addictions.

Are you living with a chronic health condition or disability? Navigating daily life can be overwhelming. Society often pressures individuals to ‘push through’ and conform to traditional success. But the reality is more complex. You may long to be seen, heard, and understood—without judgment or the need to prove yourself.

I offer a supportive counselling relationship, drawing from both professional expertise and personal experience. My passion is helping you navigate obstacles so you can live your best life.

Common Challenges You May Be Facing

Each person’s experience is different, but common challenges include:

• Anxiety and dread—feeling trapped in fear, avoidance, or lack of motivation.

• Loss of identity and purpose—struggling with changes in abilities, career, or relationships.

• Battling stigma and discrimination—facing misunderstanding or exclusion in social, professional, and medical environments.

Creating a Path to Healing and Growth

When you work with me, we create a compassionate, nonjudgmental partnership. Through talking therapy, we explore your experiences, including loss, trauma, and anxiety. This process allows you to:

• Express your feelings openly—without fear of judgment.

• Have your needs met—learning to advocate for yourself and set boundaries.

• Feel valued—reclaiming your sense of self-worth and belonging.

Why Choose Me?

I have a physical disability, chronic fatigue, and neurodiversity. Despite these challenges, I navigated mainstream education, earned qualifications, and built careers in high-pressure environments where well-being was often overlooked.

Twenty years ago, I left finance to work in mental health. Through trauma, discrimination, and loss, I’ve seen how transformative counselling can be. Today, I live with purpose, emotional resilience, and self-awareness, maybe, through counselling with me, you can too."

If this resonates... I'm here to help.

Practice description

I have a small private practice working from a consulting room, adjacent to my home located in a quiet road in Shepperton near Walton Bridge. There is parking on my drive and my room is wheelchair accessible.

I am a 15-minute walk from Shepperton High Street and the station and under 15 minutes from Walton on Thames town centre.

In addition, I have online sessions available.

I also consider home visits, if mobility is an issue and you would prefer face to face ( local to Shepperton).

I work both short and long term, the time is unique to you, and we agree through review and discussion according to your needs.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute initial telephone / zoom session, an opportunity for us to get to know each other. You can ask questions and gain a better understanding of how counselling might support you. At the end of the session, we can discuss the best way forward, including arranging your first counselling session if you decide to continue.
