About me and my therapy practice

When Coping Isn't Working: Find a New Way Forward

Pressured by work or life? Struggling to cope? I’ve been there—I know change is possible with the right support. For years, I battled the same pressures, turning to alcohol to cope, until I realized I had the power to make different choices—ones that worked for me.

I know firsthand the toll that self-doubt, pressure, and unhealthy coping mechanisms can take on your mental health and relationships. Having struggled with these challenges and the constant pressure to always perform, I’ve learned that recovery is possible—not just from these habits, but from the fear of failing to meet others' expectations.

As a person-centred counsellor, I focus on helping you build self-awareness and discover who you truly are, how you got to where you are today, and what drives the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. If you’re concerned about unhealthy coping mechanisms or struggling to manage stress and pressure, I’m here to work with you toward healthier, more fulfilling choices.

Together, we’ll explore your journey and create a space for self-discovery, where you can find clarity, reconnect with your strengths, and regain control over your life.

You already have the ability to make choices that align with your true self—sometimes, it just takes the right support to rediscover it.

Whether you’re dealing with unhealthy habits, burnout, or the pressures of life, it’s never too late to take back control and find a new way forward.

Who Can Benefit from Therapy?

Therapy can help anyone who feels stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. It’s not just for times of crisis—it’s for anyone looking to gain clarity, manage life's challenges more effectively, and live with greater self-awareness and purpose.

Therapy is a positive step toward understanding yourself better, making healthier choices, and creating lasting change—no matter what your starting point might be.

Practice description

Hello—I'm glad you've found me. I'm a qualified, person-centred counsellor dedicated to supporting people facing life's pressures and challenges, focused on helping you reconnect with your inner strength and make meaningful changes that truly align with who you are.

I came to counselling through my own experiences of high expectations and using unhealthy coping mechanisms. For a long time, I felt overwhelmed by pressures from work and life, and it took time for me to realise I had the power to make healthier choices that genuinely worked for me. My own journey taught me the importance of self-awareness, empathy, and the value of supportive, compassionate guidance.

As a counsellor, I'm here to support you in your journey of discovery, healing, and growth. My approach is person-centred—meaning I provide a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space, empowering you to explore who you truly are, how you've reached this point, and how to move forward in ways that reflect your authentic self.

I deeply believe that everyone has the inner strength to overcome challenges and create positive change in their lives. If you're feeling stuck, struggling with stress or unhealthy habits, or just need someone who truly understands. I've made a lot of mistakes myself, but with the right support and guidance, I've learned and grown from those mistakes and now rather than be ruled by them, I am informed by them. I want the same for you.

My approach

My counselling approach is person-centred, warm, and non-judgmental. I’ll support you in building greater self-awareness, exploring who you truly are, how you arrived at this point, and identifying the patterns that may be holding you back.

Together, we’ll create a safe and supportive space to help you reconnect with your inner strength, empowering you to make choices that feel authentic and meaningful to you.

What happens next

If you feel ready to take the first step, please reach out to arrange a free 1/2hr confidential phone call. This first session is an opportunity to see how we connect, discuss what you’d like to work on, and answer any questions you might have.

From there, if you choose to continue, we'll schedule regular sessions tailored to your needs. Each session moves at your pace, offering you the space and support you need as we explore your experiences and goals together.

Remember, taking this step is often the hardest part—but from here, you don’t have to do it alone. I'm here to walk alongside you on your journey of self-discovery and growth.

In all of our sessions, you can expect a warm, welcoming space where you're free to be yourself, explore your experiences, and build greater self-awareness. As someone who's personally benefited from counselling, I know how valuable it is to feel genuinely understood, supported, and not judged.

My own life experiences have taught me the power of understanding ourselves better, and I'll bring empathy and insight drawn from my own journey into our work together. I appreciate the courage it takes to share openly, and I'll support you at your own pace.
