Hello, I'm Lizzie. Welcome to my profile. I'll create a safe, relaxed space where you feel comfortable to explore whatever's going on for you without fear of any judgement. My style is informal, relational, warm, and open.I work in a 鈥榩erson-centred鈥 way which means that sessions are directed by you, in line with what you feel is most significant or important. And if you鈥檙e not sure what this might be, I鈥檒l work with you to figure that out because ultimately, you know yourself best. I will offer different approaches, concepts and strategies that I feel will support you and as a result, sessions are highly individualised and tailored to you.
Often though, as I've realised over the years, the most powerful 'tool' I can offer you, is the time and space to feel heard which can be so profound and transformative in its own right. Whatever is going to best support you, we can work it out together.
I work in a holistic, integrative way. I support clients by drawing on a variety of techniques, tools and strategies. Fundamentally though, I am a person-centred therapist which means I put you and what鈥檚 most important to you at the heart of the session, I believe in my client鈥檚 ability to take responsibility for themselves and their choices, and their capacity to fulfil their potential. I work with clients to realise these potentials.
I believe that addressing the whole person in mind-body-spirit can bring out the healthiest, happiest versions of ourselves. I believe that the basis for all good therapy is the relationship and building trust.
I offer sessions in person from The Practice Rooms in several locations across Bristol and Bath, and over video with clients based anywhere in the UK. Sessions last 50 minutes and I usually see clients either weekly or fortnightly.
Practice description
I specialise in counselling for people-pleasers, perfectionists, over-thinkers and low self-esteem.
I also have years of experience working with neurodiversity (specifically ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, SpLD).
I will support you to empower you to overcome fears and blocks holding you back from reaching your full potential and living a fulfilled, happy life.
Perhaps self-doubt is creating uncertainty about your abilities, making decisions, or causing you to question your worth. This kind of inner questioning can make you second-guess yourself or feel like you鈥檙e 鈥渘ot good enough鈥, no matter what you do. Self-doubt often arises when we fear making mistakes, being judged, or failing.
When we let self-doubt take over, it can create a negative cycle where we hold ourselves back, avoid taking risks, or feel persistently insecure. This persistent self-doubt can show up in different ways, like comparing ourselves unfavourably to others, needing constant reassurance, or feeling like imposters in our accomplishments. Perhaps you find it hard to set boundaries or find yourself stuck in cycles of unhealthy relationships, unable to make lasting changes and set yourself free 鈥 it can be exhausting.
I can help you stop letting self-doubt prevent you from making positive changes and living the life you want and deserve.

Equipping you with strategies to manage stress and anxiety in the present moment.
Resolving past issues; addressing the root cause of things still impacting you now, to help you to move forwards and step out of old scripts.
Addressing issues with self-trust and acceptance, enabling you to become more confident, assertive and able to set healthy boundaries.
My first session
I offer a free initial telephone or online consultation where we can get to know each other and see if we will work well together. This usually takes around 15 minutes. I will answer any questions you may have and we can talk more about what your hopes and goals are in seeking counselling.
