About me and my therapy practice

Navigating life and relationships is not always straightforward; sometimes it’s confusing, sometimes it’s difficult and sometimes it’s overwhelming.

As a fully qualified, UKCP Accredited and Â鶹ԭ´´ Registered psychotherapist, I offer a safe and non-judgemental space to explore the issues you may be facing with with compassion and curiosity.  It can also be a place for those who want to improve their general wellbeing and lead a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

I am registered with Axa Health and Aviva and accept referrals from these providers.

Practice description

I am a UKCP Accredited Full Clinical Psychotherapist (membership number 2011182779) and a Â鶹ԭ´´ Registered Member (membership number 399605).  These professional bodies have strict codes of ethics and practice, to which I abide.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I draw on a number of theories and approaches to best suit the needs of the individual.  My approach is holistic, taking into account the personal, physical, social and spiritual dimensions of life.

Our work together can therefore combine more practical tools and psychoeducation to help address present challenges, with a deeper exploration of past experiences and relationships.  Through an understanding of how the past may be playing out in the present, we can gain valuable insight into how this may be impacting our relationships and our experiences of life.  As we begin to make sense of our emotions, feelings, thoughts, relationships to others and the world around us, we can then begin to make more informed choices.  This process can help bring about change, promotes balance and encourages autonomy.

My first session

I appreciate the courage it can take to seek help and that choosing the right therapist can feel daunting. Please contact me if you would like to arrange an initial, free, 20-minute online consultation (via zoom) to talk through what brings you to therapy and how we might work together.

The relationship is central to success in therapy and if we feel that we are a good fit, we can discuss either moving forward with a short-term contract (usually a minimum of 10 weeks) or open-ended contract, where we will regularly review our work together. If it is not the right fit, there is no obligation to continue.
