About me and my therapy practice

I work with clients towards creating long standing changes in their behaviour, thoughts, emotions and interpersonal interactions. My practice aims to promote a depth of understanding, an agile way of experiencing life and a sense of moving forward.

This approach is collaborative, professional and non-judgemental in exploring one's presenting concerns and/or deep-seated issues. Examples of these challenges may be a difficulty in identifying and expressing emotions, feelings of being estranged from needs, a sense of being stuck, or repeating patterns.

My practice draws from contemporary psychodynamic and trauma-informed concepts inclusive of emotional and cognitive focused techniques. I have a longstanding interest in human development and the role of neuroscience in understanding interpersonal dynamics and self organisation. By integrating a number of theories and methodologies I tailor my approach to each client whilst we work towards alleviating psychological pain and increasing self and relational insight.

I am a UKCP Accredited Clinical Integrative Psychotherapist, hold a Graduate Â鶹ԭ´´ with The British Psychological Society (GMBPsS) and I am registered as Â鶹ԭ´´ Practising Member (MÂ鶹ԭ´´). I am committed to ethical practice, diversity and inclusion.

Practice description

I offer an introductory phone call of up to 15 minutes that is free of charge. This phone call is an opportunity to introduce one another, explore my approach and practise of psychotherapy.

An initial consultation is arranged prior to subsequent sessions being agreed.

My first session

Sessions last 50 minutes and almost always take place at the same time and day on a weekly basis. This consistency is important to the therapeutic process. A review is given every sixth session (or sooner if desired) and may include changes in arrangements. If at any time I feel I am not best suited to support my client's challenges, I endeavour to refer them to a practitioner who can.
