Practice description

Taking that first step to access therapy can be daunting and it is not easy which I understand. I also believe that it is a brave decision to make at a difficult time, which I am capable of allowing the client space to be and hold you within that process so you feel free to express your thoughts and feelings.

My personal approach is based on a positive belief in the potential of human beings. I firstly bring a willingness and positive approach to meet you where you are, in a confidential space that allows you to explore your feelings ang thoughts, whilst I support you in discovering new ways of being.

It is my belief that working together with the client, empowers them to have the autonomy to make decisions and choices that are right for them and build a sense of resilience to aid emotional well-being.

I work with an individual relationally as they make meaning and understand themselves. With couples, to facilitate safely managing shared responsibilities in a healthy way and with families going through life changing experiences and navigating the expectations. I focus much of the work on communication with the aim to increase shared understanding and facilitate helpful meaning-making in not only a supportive but also a compassionate way of being together in relationship.

I combine aspects of different approaches to personalise my therapeutic interventions.

My first session

This first session also allows you to get a sense of whether I would be the right therapist for you, and vice versa.  I will check-in to know that you are comfortable and create an atmosphere that suits the clients needs.
