About me and my therapy practice

I have expertise in a number of counselling modalities, however, my 3 main modalities are CBT, Attachment Theory and Person-Centred Therapy. So, if you are having issues with a lack of motivation and cannot escape negative thoughts, if you are having issues with self-esteem and you’re feeling lost, or there are moments from your past that are still impacting your life, then hopefully I can help.

I believe that my personal and professional history is vital in shaping who I am today both as a person and as a therapist. From the age of 18 I have had a passion for travelling and I have lived and worked all over the world. Travelling has allowed me to immerse myself in different cultures, and by doing so has provided me the opportunity to connect with people from all over the world which has enriched me with the ability to connect with lots of people, and blessed me with a view of the world and the people who live in it. I have worked with adults and young people in a therapeutic setting for the last 3 years, but I have worked as an activity manager and a youth worker for many years before that.

I am currently working as a school counsellor at a local secondary school where I work with students aged 11-18 who are experiencing various issues such as anxiety, depression, OCD, self-harm, sexuality, academic stress etc. Alongside providing support for students, I also offer counselling sessions for staff.

Practice description

I am a level 7 Counsellor and Psychotherapist that offers individual sessions to adults and young people. The types of sessions I offer are face to face, online, and telephone. Sharing your story or recounting personal experiences can leave you feeling extremely vulnerable, so I will offer a safe space for you to express yourself and process your thoughts and feelings. I will accompany you on this journey without judgement, by providing a listening ear and helping to navigate your way through your issues.

My first session

I offer a free introductory telephone call prior to our initial session. In this telephone call, it gives you as the client the opportunity to ask any further questions and a chance to assess if I am the correct counsellor to work with you.

The first session is charged at the usual rate of £60 for the hour.
