About me and my therapy practice
My name is Laura Eardley and I am an integrative counsellor, which means that I use a variety of approaches and techniques to suit your needs and preferences. I have a diploma in counselling and psychotherapy, and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´). I have experience in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and with various issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, self-esteem, and more.
Personally in my career I have navigated the complexities of a high-pressure corporate environment for many years, I understand the intricate balance required to manage both a thriving career and a fulfilling family life. Also having lived experiences of relational and emotional difficulties. This journey has taught me the importance of carving out time to reflect on one's own identity and aspirations, despite the relentless demands of professional and personal responsibilities.
With a wealth of experience in the field of counselling, I specialise in supporting individual adults and couples through a broad range of challenges. My expertise encompasses areas such as divorce and relationship difficulties, complex family dynamics, and emotional well-being issues including anxiety, stress, depression, and anger. Additionally, I am adept at addressing the impacts of adverse childhood experiences, addiction, self-harm behaviours, and low self-esteem. I am experienced in counselling for the LGBTQ+ community having counselled for an LGBTQ+ charity for almost 3 years, where a large portion of my work has been with transgender and non-binary people. My approach is compassionate and client-centred, aimed at fostering resilience and promoting mental health.
