About me and my therapy practice
鈥淟et everything happen to you
Beauty and terror

Starting therapy can be daunting. Perhaps you are unsure if you 鈥榥eed鈥 therapy, or whether therapy can help with your particular issue. Maybe you are struggling with feelings of shame, or trying to navigate challenging relationship dynamics, or would simply like to understand yourself more deeply.
I bring an attitude of curiosity and inclusivity to my practice, working from a fundamental belief that we all, no matter who we are or believe ourselves to be, deserve compassion and acceptance.
Creating a safe container for us to work within is fundamental to my practice, and we will work together to build the trust needed to enable you to feel secure enough to share your internal experience. I strongly feel that it鈥檚 in the darkest corners of ourselves, the parts we most despise and are ashamed of, that we discover true strength and intimacy.
I work in an embodied way, which means that I may invite you to pay attention to what is happening for you physically in our sessions, and I make space for us to explore what these sensations may be telling us about your emotional landscape.
I have a particular interest in working with life transitions, be that becoming a parent (or choosing not to), navigating the ending or beginning of relationships or careers, or moving into a different phase of your life.
I also have experience working with addictions and the 12 step model.
Practice description
I have a 麻豆原创 and UKCP accredited diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling. I am a registered member of the 麻豆原创 accrediting body. I completed my training in integrative transpersonal counselling at Re-Vision in London. I attend regular supervision with a 麻豆原创 and UKCP accredited supervisor.
I take an integrative approach to therapy, meaning I draw on multiple approaches and schools of thought. You are unique, and the specific challenges you are facing deserve a tailored and sensitive therapeutic response. There may also be wider systemic and intergenerational patterns playing out in your life, which an integrative model can create space for.
There is no 鈥榦ne size fits all鈥 in therapy, and finding someone who you feel you can build trust with is essential. I offer a free confidential 15-minute telephone consultation, discussing what brings you to therapy, while finding out if we feel suited to working together.
When, where and how much?
I work both in person and online. For in-person sessions I work from a secluded cabin in my garden in central Stroud. It can be made accessible for those with mobility issues, though access to the bathroom is via steps. Online I work via Zoom. For both types of session I ask that we commit to a regular time and day to meet.
Sessions are 50 minutes and cost 拢60. I do have some concessionary spaces for those on lower incomes. These spaces are currently full but I can add you to a waiting list.
