About me and my therapy practice
About Me
I am an experienced integrative counsellor, combining psychodynamic and person-centred approaches to help you explore how your past experiences shape the way you respond to things today. At the same time, I focus on understanding your unique needs, so we can work together in a way that feels right for you.
Specialisations
I have a particular passion for supporting individuals with ADHD and those struggling with addictions.
ADHD: Living with ADHD can feel like a constant whirlwind in your mind—thoughts tangled, never a moment of stillness. You’re not alone in feeling this way, and it doesn’t have to control your life. My goal is to work with you to untangle those thoughts, finding tools and strategies that bring a sense of focus and clarity. We’ll explore what works for you—whether in your personal life, work, or relationships—and discover ways forward that embrace your ADHD brain, leaving behind feelings of shame or frustration.
Addictions: If you’re struggling with alcohol or substance use, it’s natural to feel overwhelmed—maybe your self-esteem is low, or you’ve lost motivation and a desire to engage in social activities without relying on substances. Perhaps they once gave you confidence or helped you escape painful memories that replay in your mind, but now they’re disrupting your life.
These coping mechanisms may have helped you survive in the past, but as we grow, they can hold us back and deepen feelings of shame, anxiety, or depression. Change might feel daunting, but seeking counselling can be a vital step toward rebuilding your self-esteem and creating a healthier path forward.
In our sessions, we’ll work together in a way that feels compassionate and supportive, exploring what’s important to you.
Practice description
We’ll begin with an initial session to get to know each other and see how comfortable you feel. If you decide to continue, we’ll work together over the course of another five sessions. During these sessions, we’ll regularly review how you’re feeling about the counselling process and assess if it’s meeting your needs. You’ll always have the freedom to decide whether you’d like to continue beyond that—it’s entirely up to you. These guidelines are designed to give us a starting structure, but you are welcome to end the therapy at any point that feels right for you.
I work face to face in Bromley, and also online.
My first session
In our first session, we’ll take some time to review our counselling contract together, ensuring that you feel comfortable and understand how we’ll work together. I’ll also gather your contact details during this time. We’ll explore the realistic goals you’d like to achieve through therapy and discuss what has brought you to counselling at this particular moment in your life.
