About me and my therapy practice
Therapy shouldn't be prescriptive or formulaic鈥攊t鈥檚 a journey unique to your needs that we embark upon together. As a psychotherapist, I don鈥檛 sit back as a distant observer; I鈥檓 alongside you, offering support, challenge, and understanding as we navigate whatever you鈥檙e facing. You don鈥檛 need to have it all figured out鈥攋ust show up as you are, and we鈥檒l start there.
As an integrative therapist, I don鈥檛 believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person is different, so I tailor my work to fit you鈥攏ot the other way around. Whether you need short-term sessions or long-term support, we鈥檒l find a way of working that makes sense for you.
Trained at The Minster Centre, I hold a Master鈥檚 degree, an Advanced Diploma, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychotherapy & Counselling. With extensive experience working with adults, I help clients facing anxiety, depression, substance misuse, loneliness, relationship challenges, childhood trauma, domestic violence, and suicidal thoughts among many other presenting issues. I also understand that it can be difficult sometimes to name what's really going on inside; something just doesn't feel right. I can help you make more sense of your feelings and find some clarity during the process.
My approach is deeply relational鈥擨 believe that the heart of therapy is trust. Feeling safe with your therapist is everything, and I work to build that connection from day one. I meet you where you are, without judgment or pressure to 鈥渇ix鈥 things before you鈥檙e ready.
I am an ethical, LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and pro-trans rights. My practice is inclusive, compassionate, and tailored to you. Therapy isn鈥檛 about forcing change鈥攊t鈥檚 about being seen, heard, and understood.
馃搷 Availability: I offer remote sessions Tuesday鈥揊riday and in-person therapy on Mondays in SW8.
Practice description
We will work together on a weekly basis, keeping the same time and day each week. If this might be difficult to commit to, I encourage you to reach out regardless, as I may be able to offer some flexibility around your needs.
馃搷In-person sessions (Mondays) take place at: 4 St Josephs St, SW8 4DN.
My first session
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, so I aim to make the process as smooth and pressure-free as possible.
1. Getting in Touch
Once you contact me via the 麻豆原创 website, I will respond within 24 hours via email. From there, we can arrange a free 15-minute Zoom call or phone conversation at a time that works for you.
2. The Initial Conversation
This short call is an opportunity for us to get a sense of each other. I鈥檒l ask a little about you and what鈥檚 bringing you to therapy, and you can ask any questions about how I work. There鈥檚 no commitment at this stage鈥擨 encourage all prospective clients to take a few days afterward to reflect on how they felt speaking with me. Therapy is a deeply personal process, and it鈥檚 important to find the right therapist for you.
3. Deciding to Work Together
If we both feel we鈥檙e a good fit, I鈥檒l send you a short assessment form before our first session. You can either complete and return it beforehand or we can go through it together during our first session.
4. Your First Few Sessions
Therapy isn鈥檛 about diving straight into solutions鈥攊t鈥檚 about building trust. Our first few sessions will be exploratory, giving us space to develop our therapeutic relationship and gain a deeper understanding of what鈥檚 going on for you. From there, we can begin working towards any goals you may have.
5. Ongoing Therapy & Reviews
I work in blocks of 10 sessions, after which we鈥檒l have a review session where you can share how you feel therapy is going, and I will offer my reflections. This is a space to check in, see what鈥檚 working (or not), and adjust as needed. Of course, you鈥檙e always encouraged to ask questions or share feedback at any point in our work together.
If you鈥檙e considering therapy but feeling unsure, know that there鈥檚 no rush, no pressure鈥攋ust a space to explore what feels right for you.
