About me and my therapy practice
I’m Laura, a qualified counsellor and registered member of the Â鶹Դ´, offering sessions in Ashford, Faversham, online or by telephone. I work with adults and teens. I offer a calm, relaxed and non-judgemental space to explore whatever is troubling you.
You may be feeling stuck, be experiencing repetitive thought patterns or be feeling lost or overwhelmed. I see my role as to sit alongside you, and to build a trusting relationship where you can be yourself and to give you space to make sense of how you are feeling and work towards any change that you are seeking.
I have a special interest in anxiety, bereavement and loss. I have a wide range of experience, some examples being, low mood, relationships, loss, low self-esteem and low confidence. Some of my clients are considered neurodivergent and some have experience of long-term health conditions.
I work mainly in a person-centred way, I am led by you and your needs, and I believe that our therapeutic relationship is key. I integrate other approaches when helpful. I have trained in working in a trauma informed way and I am also experienced in working creatively, especially with young people.
My experience includes a college setting, the NHS and private practice. I offer a free 20-minute telephone call or TEAMS call, so you can see if you feel that we would be a good fit.
My qualifications are listed on my website:
