About me and my therapy practice

Hello and welcome!

I understand from personal experience that taking the first step and considering counselling can be daunting!  Whether you need support with grief, anxiety, or life's challenges, together, we can explore this and find a way forward that feels right for you.

Counselling can help you process and heal pain, learn new ways of dealing with life’s challenges and deepen your understanding of yourself.

I offer a compassionate and non-judgemental space where together we can explore your deepest concerns at your own pace, supporting your growth toward healing, emotional freedom, and self-acceptance.

I take a holistic approach that recognises the connection between emotional and physical health. Each session is tailored to your individual needs. This could involve using different techniques, creative methods, mindfulness, meditation, or exploring tools to manage your emotions.

I have experience and training to support many issues including grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, depression, coping with chronic ill health, spirituality, trauma, carer stress, and domestic abuse.

Loss:

I have a particular passion and training for supporting and sitting alongside people with all types of loss, including bereavement, loss of relationships, pet loss, loss of a job, loved ones facing ill health or a palliative prognosis, and loved ones having dementia.

Grief can bring up a range of emotions, like sadness, anger, guilt, or even relief. Together, we can work through the challenges, help you understand your emotions, and find healthy ways to cope.

Identity exploration:

I am also passionate about supporting people who want to explore their identity. This journey can take many paths, it might involve confronting past trauma, hidden parts of yourself, relationships or expectations from society, family and friends.

Counselling can be a transformative journey that can lead to healing, personal growth, improved relationships, empowerment, and more peace and joy in your life!
