About me and my therapy practice
About me and my therapy practice.
Hi there, I’m Geri! I’m a Registered Psychotherapist/Counsellor with a passion for helping people rediscover their inner strength and take charge of their lives.
I hold a Master’s Level 7 qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Positive Psychology. I’m here to help you tackle the challenges life throws your way—whether it’s anxiety, stress, low confidence, or unhelpful habits that keep holding you back.
I know life isn’t always easy, and sometimes you just need a safe space to figure things out. My approach blends therapeutic insight with practical, forward-focused strategies, so you can not just heal, but thrive.
What do I offer help with?
For most people I work with, anxiety and panic are at the heart of their struggles, making everyday life feel exhausting and unpredictable. If you're feeling overwhelmed, I offer a calm, supportive space to help you regain control and find a way forward.
Practice description
How can I help you?
Whatever you're struggling with right now, I offer a warm, open, and non-judgemental space where you can reflect on your life, your choices, and the changes you want to make. Therapy isn’t just about having someone to listen—it’s also about gaining new perspectives, insights, and practical tools to help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.
A strong therapeutic relationship built on trust and understanding is key to lasting change. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, increase your self-awareness, and help you create a life that feels more balanced, fulfilling, and in your control.
Qualifications and experience
I hold a Level 7 Master’s qualification in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Keele University and am a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´.
My experience involves helping people explore their identity, understand themselves on a deeper level, and navigate life with more clarity and confidence. I am a trained anxiety specialist, supporting clients in managing anxiety and panic, so they can regain a sense of control and calm in their daily lives.
I also bring over 20 years of experience in human resources and people management, giving me a strong understanding of workplace challenges, stress, and burnout, as well as how these impact mental well-being.
My first session
I work in a personalised way, focusing on what you want to achieve and what feels most helpful for you.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time. In our initial assessment, we’ll explore your needs and decide on an approach, number of sessions, and pace that suits your budget and requirements. Whether you’re looking for short-term support to tackle a specific issue or longer-term therapy for deeper challenges, we’ll shape the process in a way that works for you.
The aim is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel understood and can make meaningful progress at your own pace.
Types of therapy
CBT, Emotionally focused therapy, Humanistic, Integrative, Person centred, Phenomenological, Solution focused brief therapy, Transactional analysis
