My first session
Our initial chat includes exploring anything you are prepared to share with me about you. My first session costs the same as any other sessions, but I do offer consessions. I offer a free 15 minute chat to see if we can work together.
I may ask you a few questions about you, but the first point of reference in our therapeutical meeting is you and to explore your needs.
If you disclose that you are suffering a low mood, I may apply an assessment of your mental wellbeing and exploration of your own initial expectation. Only you are the person who can decide what troubles you and what you would like to change and improve through our counselling sessions.
The main objective for the first session would be to assess whether I am the right person for what you want to work on. Most of the first session is to explore what has brought you to therapy. The first session usually decides where to go next, it is essentially an introduction and getting to know each other to see if we are compatible.
It is crucial that you feel comfortable with me being your therapist, so feel free to ask as many questions as you need. This is your therapy, I always try to encourage people to trust their instincts.
If, by the end of the first session we both feel that we can work together, we will discuss your expectation. We will also have a look at how many sessions you may need based on the issue you want to address. Every client is individual and some clients feel better after six to twelve sessions, but some clients need to have a longer term therapy. We will not know that until we start working together.
The aim of counselling is to explore your feelings, find some solutions to your issues, and hopefully to improve your sense of wellbeing. Therapy works, it just needs to start.
I strongly advise to have a reflective practice every few sessions so we can gain an insight about your progress and to assess where you are with your goals and expectations.

Hi, welcome to the space that is non judgemental, safe, private and strictly confidential and created just for you and your needs.
I have become a counsellor a long time after I had a life changing experience with my own counsellor. That was when the seed for my own personal growth has been planted and my curiosity to understand why people may suffer and struggle and what I, as a counsellor can do to ease that suffering.
During my studies at University, I have gained an insight about how brain is affected by trauma, and how by an unfullfilling attachment in childhood people can get affected in their adult lives.
Whist training, I have worked as Samaritan, as a crisis counsellor and as a support for people who experienced family trauma, young people in replacement family care.
So, you will be in safe hands.
If you have experienced grief, abandonment, illness. If you are frustrated, sad and angry with what happened to you, then you are in the right space.
You deserve someone who will be there for you in your own discovery.
I have supported clients who got too overwhelmed by their chidhood, by their family dynamicks , who experienced loss, anxiety , depression and crisis of their own identity. I love my counselling job, I love observing my clients growth and watching them to become stronger, more confident people is something that never gets less satisfying.
So, if you would like to discover you, if you are fed up of feeling stuck and lost, perhaps it is your time to change.
My approach is not rigid, every one of you is an individual with your own experiences and our own story to tell, so my approach is varied, fluid and mostly led by your own needs.
My practice hours are varied, I offer some weekends, evenings and day times sessions.
The best approach is to contact me as my practice is fluent and ever-changing due to the wonderful thing that is called life.
However, if we start working together, I believe in consistency can be helpful. Unless life happens...
