About me and my therapy practice
I am available to work with a broad range of clients and issues, although I have a special interest in grief, end of life and bereavement. I have several years of experience working in a hospice. The experience of grief can involve confusing and intense emotions, unexpected symptoms and feelings of isolation. Often people worry about the impact grieving is having on them and whether this is 'normal'. Bereavement counselling covers a wide range of other issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, coping with change and family relationships. I have worked with clients experiencing anticipatory grief and those reaching out many years after a bereavement.
My approach is centred around you and your experiences. Through person-centred counselling, I will put your experience at the heart of the therapy. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgemental and supportive space. I will be led by you in what you would like to discuss within your appointments and will develop an understanding of your experiences as we explore them together, at your pace.
I hold a qualification from the University of Warwick in Person-Centred Counselling. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and work within their Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
