About me and my therapy practice

Are you struggling with anxiety or feeling overwhelmed?

Do you feel stuck in the same patterns and want to understand why?

The world can feel like a chaotic place right now and we all deserve space to feel heard and supported.

I am a Psychodynamic Therapist. This mode of therapy focuses on early childhood experiences and the patterns we form there with a view to improving your current wellbeing.

Finding the right therapist can feel daunting but its so important to find someone you feel comfortable with. As a first step you are welcome to get in touch  and we can arrange a free 20-minute phone session with no obligation.

Practice description

I support  clients who come to sessions wanting to work on a specific issue, or just to get some clarity on their life.

I have experience of working with complex mental health conditions, feelings of suicidality and trauma, particularly around women's lived experiences.  My practice focuses on working in an intersectional  way and focus on creating a safe spaces for clients.  The way we will work together is flexible, I will work with you to find what works for you, rather than expecting you to fit a box.

â¶Ä‹â€‹I can offer short term structured work or longer term  therapeutic work focusing on exploring early childhood connections in a safe, containing way.  Longer term work gives us time to build trust so you can feel comfortable with me.  Our sessions would be 50 minutes and weekly.  We go slowly and always at your pace.

â¶Ä‹â€‹As well as running a thriving private practice, I work in the Women's Sector supporting survivors of sexual violence. I also consult with local funded counselling services, supporting them with clinical assessments.  I have extensive experience in providing therapeutic support with:

Emotional abuse within families and relationships

Childlessness or being childfree

Loneliness

Bereavement (in particular suicide bereavement)

Low self-esteem and low self confidence

Body and eating issues

Suicidal thoughts

Relationship difficulties

Boarding School Trauma

Attachment  issues

Trauma (such as childhood sexual abuse and sexual assault)
