About me and my therapy practice

I’m a registered Counselling Psychologist and Gestalt Psychotherapist. Drawing on my training, I work integratively, drawing on a range of evidence-based techniques from various approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.

I view clients as the experts in their own lives, and see my role as a compassionate guide and facilitator, offering insight, reflection, and practical tools to support greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, leading to personal growth. My style is collaborative, trauma-informed, and person-centred, grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens within a safe, trusting, and authentic therapeutic relationship.

I’m especially passionate about helping people reconnect with their inner voice, set healthy boundaries, and cultivate a more compassionate relationship with themselves. I work alongside clients to explore their experiences and develop coping strategies that support long-term wellbeing.

I have experience supporting individuals across the lifespan, including professionals and parents facing work- and family-related stress, anxiety, low mood, and burnout. I also work with those navigating significant life transitions such as new parenthood, divorce, complex relationship dynamics, and career changes. A key part of my work involves supporting individuals processing trauma, including intergenerational trauma and the lasting effects of adverse experiences.

Practice description

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s important to find a space where you feel safe, understood, and genuinely supported. My practice is built around creating a space where you can bring your whole authentic self, and will explore your inner self experiencing no judgement.

Sessions are collaborative and led by you. 

Some clients come with a clear idea of what they want to work on; others are unsure, but know something does not feel right or are willing to experience therapy. All are welcome. We’ll start by exploring what’s bringing you to therapy, and move at a pace that feels right for you. You won’t be expected to fit into a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I tailor my approach to suit your needs, drawing from a range of psychological theories and practices to support your growth.

My work is grounded in the belief that therapy aims to increase self-awareness, support build healthy relationships with yourself and others, leading to living in a way that feels more authentic and fulfilling for yourself. 

Whether you are navigating a specific challenge or looking to better understand yourself, therapy can offer a valuable space for reflection and change.

My first session

Choosing the right therapist is an important decision, and it is essential to feel confident in your choice. 

To support you in this process, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call. During this call, I’ll explain how my services work and answer any questions you may have. This is an opportunity for you to decide if you would like to move forward with therapy, with no commitment or cost at this stage.

If you choose to begin therapy, before we begin, I will send you a few forms to complete. These will cover practical details and ensure that your safety and comfort are prioritised throughout our work together.

During our first session will focus on understanding the challenges you are currently facing and discussing your goals for therapy. I will also address any additional questions you may have about how we will work together and the structure of the therapeutic process. By the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of my professional approach.
