About me and my therapy practice
Whilst my theoretical orientation draws on a variety of humanistic, psychodynamic and transpersonal traditions, I am first and foremost a relational therapist, grounded in the belief that the only person that can truly be an expert in your own experience is you. I see the therapeutic process as a collaboration, and my role is to partner you in the journey of self-discovery and help you to navigate your current difficulties. I provide a uniquely nurturing space in which you can feel empowered to reclaim your own inner knowing and become the person you were meant to be.
Regardless of what brings you to therapy: perhaps you're feeling low or hopeless, maybe you suffer from anxiety, loss, trauma, have a low self-esteem or experience challenges in your relationships, I am here to support you each step of the way with authentic care and understanding. I can help you to forge a stronger connection with the part of you that longs for a richer, more satisfying, meaningful or joyful expression in different areas of your life.
This process often involves detangling oneself from past experiences and influences, gaining a greater self-awareness and a sense of autonomy. Through the therapeutic process, you can begin to integrate different parts of yourself and create a more positive narrative about who you are and what you would like to create in your life.
Each therapeutic journey is unique and I continue to be in awe of the diversity of human experience. It's important to me that the people I work with feel understood, and in my practice I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, including LGBTQ community and ethical non-monogamy. I am sensitive to the issues of belonging and otherness, and the ways in which socio-economic structures and cultural context shape our lives. In my approach I aim to be inclusive, respectful and compassionately curious.
Practice description
I have experience working as a counsellor within the NHS as well as private and charity organisations, supporting individuals with a wide range of problems including depression and anxiety, relationships and family issues, stress related to work, life transitions, loss, chronic illness, disordered eating, OCD, addiction and complex trauma.
My areas of interest include women's issues, creativity, the body-mind unity and how emotional difficulties or trauma can express itself through physical symptoms. As a certified conscious dance facilitator, I understand how embodiment and somatic tools can be utilised in service of a deeper healing.
I also have an interest in and experience of working with neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism. In my practice I embrace a neuro-affirming framework that celebrates each individual for who they are, whilst allowing space for exploration of unique needs and potential challenges related to being neurodivergent.
My previous professional experience includes working as a Learning and Development Manager in business where I supported groups and individuals with their personal and professional growth. This blend of coaching and therapeutic experience allows me to help my clients identify and work towards meaningful outcomes.
I am a trauma-informed, psychotherapeutic counsellor, trained in humanistic integrative modality at Metanoia Institute and CPPD Counselling School in London. I am a registered member of the Â鶹Դ´ (registration no 407503) and abide by their Ethical Framework. I am passionate about my own personal and professional development, and I continue to engage in additional training that enables me to enhance my practice.
I am fluent in English and Polish and offer therapy in both languages.
