About me and my therapy practice
Why counselling and why now?
Do you feel anxious, tense, angry, or uneasy, perhaps without any clear reason why?
Are you struggling with your mood, work, health, relationships, distressing events or thoughts, grief, stress, or unhelpful habits?
Do you feel lost, isolated, frustrated, and unfulfilled?
Does your life seem to lack meaning and direction?
Do you lack focus, motivation, and confidence?
Do you feel that others don't understand you?
If so, you are not alone.
For many people, the modern world is an increasingly unsettling and anxiety-inducing place. Yet many of the issues we wrestle with today have been wrestled with for millennia.
My approach
With a pace and structure you're comfortable with, I use an integrative approach to dealing with suffering in all its forms, drawing on existential analysis, solution-focused practices, evolutionary psychology, and ancient philosophy and wisdom.
We'll work collaboratively towards the insight and clarity needed to live with purpose and confidence. Whether it's developing targeted practical strategies to address immediate issues, or cultivating your own personal philosophy and sense of meaning: we'll work together to help you towards a fulfilling life which aligns with your values, beliefs and goals.
Understanding sex differences
While we are all unique individuals, evidence clearly shows that sex differences play a significant role in our psychology, and that men and women often see the world quite differently, and often for important reasons.
I take a male-friendly approach to counselling, understanding how and why our biological sex can impact our behaviours, choices, relationships, values, and sense of purpose and place in the world.
Email, text, or call to arrange an initial consultation free of charge.
My first session
Our first session is about getting to know each other and allowing you to explain what is going on for you and what you would like to change. Together, we can start to work out what you would like your life to look like and how we might begin to address the problems that may getting in the way of you achieving your goals.
