About me and my therapy practice

I am a masters level qualified, Â鶹ԭ´´ Registered counsellor and psychotherapist. My therapeutic approach is integrative, which means that I draw on a range of different therapeutic styles and perspectives to work with you and your own individual experiences, circumstances, challenges and goals.

I believe that therapeutic work is a process of collaboration and co-creation. I will work closely with you to understand your needs, and support you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, explore your thoughts and feelings, and empower you to manage the difficulties you are facing.

With a background in project management in both the arts world and leadership consulting, I bring an understanding of the pressures of different contexts and situations to my therapeutic practice. I specialise in working with students, young adults (18+), and people in the creative industries and performing arts, recognising and understanding the unique challenges faced by these individuals.

As an area of special interest, my research thesis explored the overlap in mental health experience of elite athletes and professional performing artists.

Practice description

As a relational-integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, I blend elements of different therapeutic approaches (such as person-centred, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, existential).

I offer a safe, empathic, non-judgemental space, emphasising the importance of the quality of the therapeutic relationship, the most significant factor in the effectiveness of therapy.

I hold:

• MA Integrative Counselling - Distinction (Leeds Beckett University) 2024

• PGDip Counselling & Psychotherapy (Leeds Beckett University) 2023

• Level 2 & 3 Counselling Skills for Working With Children (Place2Be) 2020

• Trauma Informed Yoga Training - 50 CPD hours (Yoga Hero) 2023

• BA (Hons) French (King's College London) 2016
