About me and my therapy practice

Hi, I'm Julie and I'm a person-centred counsellor.  I provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment for you to explore whatever feels important to you, at your own pace.

My focus is on understanding your unique perspective and placing your experience at the centre of our sessions. We'll work together to build a collaborative relationship where you can feel empowered to discover your own path forward.

I know from experience that starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you're feeling anxious or uncertain.

Please feel free to email me if you would like an informal chat to explore how we could work together, and I can answer any questions you have.

Practice description

I am a fully qualified, MÂ鶹ԭ´´-registered person-centred counsellor based in South East London, SE14.

My approach is non-directive, meaning that you decide on the focus of our work. I provide compassionate support and I offer a non-judgemental, empathic and authentic counselling relationship where you can talk openly about what’s on your mind. With a focus on your specific needs, we'll work together to transform your understanding of yourself and create space for healing.

Online sessions (50 minutes, on Zoom): £80

In-person sessions (50 minutes): £100

You’ll need to be able to access the internet for online sessions, and be able to talk in a private space where you won’t be overheard or disturbed.

My experience includes working with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures, ages, and sexual orientations. Alongside running my own private practice, I work with a community counselling service and with a low-cost online counselling service specialising in addiction and recovery.

Alongside my client work, I am a Skills group tutor on the Higher Professional Diploma (Level 5) counselling course at LC&CTA.

My continuing professional development training has included certification for: Working with Shame, Ethical Counselling in Substance Misuse, Anti-fat bias in the therapy room, Working with domestic abuse, and Neurodiversity in the counselling room.
