About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor based in St Albans. I offer short and long-term therapy either from my private therapy room in St Albans or online.
Practice description
Choosing the right counsellor is a personal and important decision, as the relationship between counsellor and client plays a key role in the therapeutic process. It’s essential that you feel comfortable, heard and supported. It is my aim to provide a confidential and compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions at your own pace, without fear of judgement.
It is my firm belief that as an individual, you have the power to make positive changes in your life, which will enable you to feel happier and more fulfilled. Working with a Gestalt focus, my approach is centred on the 'here and now' and we will consider how past experiences may still impact you in the present. We will explore your processes and the way you relate to others, as well as identifying challenges and blocks you may experience. If appropriate, I can integrate coaching into my practice.
I have experience working with a range of issues, including bereavement, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, infertility and life transitions. Whether you’re feeling stuck, facing a challenge, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I am here to help.
Before qualifying as a counsellor, I have worked for many years in education and as a musician. My practice is inclusive and welcoming to people from all backgrounds. If you’d like to arrange an initial conversation to see if we’re a good fit, please feel free to get in touch. I would be delighted to hear from you and aim to respond within 24 hours.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute introductory conversation, either by phone or online.
Following this, we can organise a time to meet, either in person or online. We will meet at the same time each week and sessions last for 50 minutes.
My private therapy room is located in St Albans, close to Clarence Park. Parking is available. I offer both short and long-term therapy, depending on your needs.
I look forward to hearing from you.
