About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling lost, stressed or overwhelmed trying to make sense of everything?

Maybe you’re exhausted or anxious because of the current climate of uncertainty and change?

Perhaps you have unresolved experiences from your childhood or recent past, leading to low self-esteem, depression, or harmful behaviour patterns?

Or maybe your ability to cope has been impacted by loss or trauma?

Anxiety and worry can make it tough to figure out exactly what’s bothering you or to understand what’s happening around you.

Therapy can give you a chance to step back, slow down, breathe, and see your options more clearly.

As a qualified therapist, I'm here to help you really focus on your thoughts and feelings to highlight the choices you have more clearly - something that everyday life doesn’t always allow.

In our sessions all feelings are welcome. I'm a calm, compassionate and down-to-earth person, and I'm here to help.

Areas of Expertise:

  • Life Transitions
  • Self-Identity and Self-Worth
  • Relationship Changes
  • Career and Life Purpose
  • Managing Stress and Anxiety
My goal is to help you navigate this challenging period with confidence and self-compassion.

My Experience, Qualifications & Training

I have lots of experience of supporting adult clients with a wide range of issues; those caring for children and ageing parents, dealing with empty nesting, childlessness, perimenopause and menopause, neurodivergence, divorce and relationship issues, redundancy and retirement, financial difficulties, bereavement and grief.

As a midlife woman, I come to this point with my own broad and varied life experience so I fully appreciate the complexities and demands that clients face.

I hold a Post Graduate Diploma (awarded Distinction) in Humanistic Counselling from York St John University.

I am fully insured, registered with both the Â鶹ԭ´´ and Information Commissioners Office, and hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

About me and my therapy practice

The Midlife Therapist - Online Counselling for Midlife

Have you reached midlife with a past full of trials and tribulations, that have left you feeling like you don't know which way is up anymore?

Have you had a lifetime of people pleasing or caring for others, relationships that show signs of strain, loss and grief, career ups and downs or dealing with the rollercoaster of an ever changing body and hormones?  I get it! I'm a fellow midlifer with more than one of these issues throughout my life too.

All of these issues affect so many of us in midlife and can leave us with a loss of identity.  We can feel disconnected from who we have been, along with a stronger desire to figure who we want to be, and what we want to do.  I'm here to help you redefine yourself for the next phase of your life.

My clients are often on a journey to find greater self-awareness, connection, clarity, and confidence. They tell me they feel heard, supported and empowered by me, that they feel safe to speak their darkest fears and that I help them feel lighter and positive about the next chapter.

Midlife is an age of opportunity – a time for transformation and reinvention with the right help.

About Me:

I am a compassionate and warm therapist specialising in online support for midlife clients through the challenges and transitions you face. My goal is to help you navigate this transformative period with confidence and self-compassion.

I come to this point with my own broad and varied life experience. Raising children, loss, financial difficulties and changing hormones have all been part of my life too, so I fully understand and empathise with the complexities and demands on you.

If you're interested in exploring therapy with me further, please do get in touch by email to arrange a no obligation online chat - I will do my best to respond within 48 hours. Please check your junk / spam folders for a reply.
