Practice description
I offer a confidential and non-judgemental space for you, and help you to make sense of what is causing any issues. I believe the therapeutic relationship is important for understanding and exploring what is causing your distress. I work relationally, taking the time to listen, build trust and give understanding, to thoughts and feelings that you bring.
Everyone has their own unique experiences in life, and times when they feel less than 鈥淥K鈥, whether it be, in relationships, life events or health issues. You may need practical help and coping strategies, or to talk and make sense of certain problems in your life. You may want to explore deeper, into patterns of behaviour, which have stopped you being your 'authentic self.' Our work can be tailored to your own goals, at a pace that is comfortable.
When working with children, there will first be a discussion and assessment with parents/carers. there will be regular reviews. I will work sensitively to introduce a child into the therapy process, with their consent. I use creative interventions with children as this is how they communicate and explore their thoughts and emotions.
My first session
I know beginning therapy can be daunting, choosing the right therapist can be difficult and it鈥檚 important that you feel comfortable and are able to be yourself. I offer a free introductory call and consultation before booking a session, to help you decide if I'm the therapist for you. If you prefer, you can email me with what you need and I can answer questions you may have.
The first, introductory session will be a discussion and assessment about past and present issues and a chance to find out more about the process of therapy.
The first session will be at a reduced rate of 拢45
